Vol. 3 not only focuses on Maple and Cinnamon, but also offers a (albeit very small) glimpse at Nekopara's world through some of the story's themes. Things like the status of its catgirls, and how they're perceived. By focusing on some of its world a bit more, I believe the volume already has a leg up from the others.

I also felt its story was stronger, by not just having the duo's growth be realized, but by also giving them a passion that they share. It really was a nice touch to their bond, to make them feel like genuine friends, different from Azuki and Coconut who possess a sisterly bond for example.

It's a bit late to realize this now, but I really love these games. This volume's story in particular has reminded me that Nekopara is more than just catgirl sex (certainly not discrediting it though). Maybe I've grown attached to the characters of La Soleil and their fun antics... but what am I saying right?
