I wish people who claim to be fans of this series would hold back their nerd rage. If you're really a Tribes fan you can recognize this is still in development, and the best shot we have at getting Tribes back. Your negative reviews are only scaring off new players from experiencing one of the craziest fastest paced gaming experiences out there, and beating down the developers just like you did with Ascend...Hi-Rez didn't abandon Ascend, you all chased it out of town.

I'm sure the game is great, but remote play didn't work for me on my mobile, maybe that has something to do w/ having to jump thru the hoop of launching Origin which is a requisite. I tried streaming with Shield / Moonlight as a alternative, and got frequent BSOD's, which could totally be my fault, but I just wish remote play worked for my mobile.

You know the feeling of your first game console and games like Mortal Kombat and Mario for the NES, than something new comes along and blows your mind all over again, for me it was Starfox 64 and Mario 64 with 3D graphics. Than later comes Halo and Grand Theft Auto, where you can get in and out of vehicles without loading screens and things are shiny, packed with new life, open worlds, and more. Than after all that in gaming things stayed the same for quite a while with very little change, physics may get better, AI smarter, graphics more defined but that spark of evolution was missing. VR is that next big step in the evolution of gaming, and no game better shows that than Half Life Alyx. Alyx is not some kind of test project (Boneworks) or some kind of sideshow arcade game, this is a full fledged heavily story driven 12-15 hour long campaign, it's a experience like no other in gaming currently. On top of that it answers one of the internet's biggest questions... Without a question though it's one of my top 5 gaming experiences in my 25 years of gaming. It would be number one but I just felt the combat could use a little more "BANG" as shown in some of the trailers. For example after successfully shooting a target (Combine soldier) in a critical spot 2 times you'd expect them to drop instead of having to shoot them 5 times in the head... I feel it would've been more exhilarating with more enemies and for critical shots being more "critical". (I'm aware they do this though because of current hardware limitations) Although that's not to say the combat in the game is weak, it's far from it and will bring you back for a second play through shortly after. Fighting the antlions or "leggies" and other enemies in the game was very fun as your critical shots were actually critical. One other thing I didn't really care for was that there was no actual jumping in the game, you can whats called "blink" which is exactly what it sounds like to get across gaps and what not leading to my last suggestion maybe add a actual jump option, I want to be able to look down when almost falling to my death. Speaking of things spooky, the game has strong horror elements that will get your adrenaline flowing and even give you a few good jolts. Even the sound design which is hands down the best I've ever heard at times can be quite horrifying and leave you hiding in game. With fantastic controls that's not a problem, and completely makes you forget that the game was designed for VR as interacting with the entire world feels almost seamless. Bottom line this is a masterpiece, runs great, and is totally worth the cost of a VR headset (I played it on the Oculus Rift S). [9.8/10] Hopefully we will be seeing Valve's next round of games in VR.

DuckSeason (also developed by Stress Level Zero) got me interested in VR, not enough though to buy a headset, it's a great concept to take your childhood and have it slowly morph into a nightmare through one of the most iconic virtual shooter simulators. However with Alyx coming out knowing this will drive more major developers / creators to produce VR games, and Boneworks being labeled a masterpiece on Steam and VR prices finally at a modest consumer level, my interest peaked and I got the Oculus Rift S. Boneworks does a great service setting the bar for whats considered "excellent" in VR gaming. I found myself bouncing around my VR room boxing out wireframe bots, and when I run out of energy I knock the bot onto the ground and bash my fists into the floor bashing his head in, I ask you what other game can you do that in?

I'm sure I'd love this game, if only I could figure it out... I've played Fallout 3, Vegas, and 4, and many other Elder Scroll games as a child, now I finished all the current Fallout games but for the life of me, ever since Morrowind, I have zero clue what the F I'm suppose to do. I put countless hours into Oblivion, and Morrowind but with zero clear objective, now maybe I'm just stupid, but I'm still lost. I've never been into duegons and dragons, and maybe thats the fault but just like what, I love the atmos and everything else, but yea I'm lost.

Scroll Down For Edit, Lotta fun, half the time though I felt like I was playing a Telltale version of "ntsf sd suv" or "eagleheart" because the voice acting and model animations were just kinda corny at times, but oddly very enjoyable for the most part (did they do this on purpose?). The level design and coloring is always maintains my interest. The story and how it progresses (so far) is beautifully done. I'm trying to think if theres anything I didn't like, I guess if anything when making descisions your choices aren't very clear, its more like you choose emotions than the character just re-acts how he'd react, so sometimes It didn't feel like I was in control completely. But anyways for 5$, its well worth it.

WHERES EPISODE 2? Its been 4 leaning more to 5 months though. Sorry dev's but its been almost half a year. So you get a "no" now.

This was a impulse buy for me just have seeing the new "Fury Road", but its a great game so far was kinda shocked it ran smooth right out the gate seems like today you gotta wait a week or month before a game can run proper though. Anyways beatufiful lighting, models / textures look good, vehicle combat / driving is fun, and vehicle customization is cool too. The on foot combat feels a little too straight foward though, the gore animations are kinda boring though, like feels like its a Xbox/360 game in that way, and collecting scrap can get a little repetitive. My final thought yea this game is worth getting but if you haven't played id's "RAGE", I'd reccomend getting that first, it's a extremely simmilar although kinda diffrent scenario game that will quench your Mad Max thirst.

This is a good game, too drunk to write a nerdy review, basically if tf2 had a baby with cod and like if tf2 had a affair with ut and the seed from cod merged with ut this would be the result baby, cons stupid name, "Dirty BOMB"
