Welcome to my review, after playing for 4,7k hours and enjoying every second of CS:GO.
Being hyped for CS2 as everybody else was, i think its time to quit before clocking in 5k hours.

Competitive has no incentive to play if you aren't new to the game, you end matches playing blind with 30 kills. So the only thing left is Premier which is premium garbage actually not playable without 5-stacking. What's up with 4700h players getting matches with 200-300h total playtime.

Trust factor matchmaking did a better job at finding similar players.

Following loss-streaks actually encourage players like me that love the game playing solo and in teams to not play at all to not lose elo, so in itself pretty demotivating and doesn't encourage playing alone at all, you are at a massive disadvantage which can not be overcome by any amount of skill.

I am sad of how the state of the game is and i really consider quitting after 10 years of my favourite game, which breaks my heart tbh.

I do believe Valve will get it "fixed" - meaning not as broken as is but still with many flaws - but this is a shame for the community and all players to have to endure this mess because until its playable in the way CS:GO was i will have kids probably.

If it's the trend moving forward to lower the skill ceiling and try to get new players i just want to say don't forget all the people that have made the game what it is today.

The learning curve was brutal when i started out and i am grateful for it because it makes you actually develop an interest for the game and not play casually on and off and forget your 3 smoke lineups.

TLDR: So basically i can wait for Valve to fix their game before growing old to enjoy the single game i play because they kill off CS:GO for his special little brother :')
