The very first PC game I ever played way back in 1996 was Quake.
I started out playing the shareware version (episode 1 only) on MPlayer (only true OG's will know what that is) while visiting my parents one weekend. I didn't own a computer myself and had no interest in them tbh....
Until, I loaded into my first match that fateful day.
I looked left, I looked right, I then exploded into chunks after being shot with a quad rocket.
My life drastically changed at that moment. I was instantly & completely hooked and I knew that I would be a hardcore PC gamer for the rest of my life. I went from having no desire to own a PC to becoming a giant PC gaming nerd in a heartbeat.
Most of my fondest multiplayer gaming memories are from this game.
