Shooting games aren't usually my cup of tea but then there's Borderlands. The first game was a game that I sunk a large number of hours into (steam lies) because of how much fun it offered, Borderlands 2 takes everything that the first game has to the next level and adds even more.

The characters in the game have amusing dialogue that is rather funny and interesting, each has a different style and a unique personality, whether it's Cl4P-TP, Scooter, Handsome Jack or any of the many other character you'll encounter throughout the many adventures on Pandora.

While missions are usually to kill other creatures there's still a large diversity and I never felt that I was doing the same thing except for maybe some of the missions in the Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC.

The game offers a number of DLCs and while that could be bad practice I have to give them credit for at least 2 of the main DLCs: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep for being excellent (I can even go as far as saying that Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is beyond excellent and because of it Borderlands 2 is now my favorite game). Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC is good fun, and Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt has its strong points but has some bad ones as well.

The game provides an interesting story line as opposed to its predecessor in addtion to connecting it to what little of story the first one did. There are moments of pure nostalgia for Borderlands fans, as well as plenty of easter eggs and references to all kind of different games, movies, and TV shows that kept me smiling throughout the game.

The game has very high replayability value, aside from 6 unique classes each class can be played in many different styles thanks to the massive number of different weapons and skills combinations, and the addition of the badass rank and badass tokens with the large collection of challenges, it also helps that the scenery and lighting ingame are impressive and beautiful to look at. Exploring everything and taking my time to finish most challenges I already have over 100 hours on a single character and I'm not yet done with all the DLCs on the Normal Mode, I still have many more hours before I even start True Vault Hunter Mode and Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode on that character alone.
