The Mad Max franchise has been one of my absolute favorite works of cinema for several years, now, ever since I discovered that I, as an adult, can utilize my income and purchase whatever my heart desires within the limitations of said income. I bought the High Octane collection from my local Blue-and-Yellow-Tech-Store and immediately proceeded to fall in love with the post-apocalyptic world. Who wouldn't love kamacrazy Warboys and the Thunderdome?!
One would find it difficult to fathom the sheer exhilaration I experienced upon discovering that the franchise had been poured, liquid-chrome, into a video game mold. This game does a fantastic job of giving unique insights into the world of Max Rockatansky, from history relics with their realistic, frantic messages from the rapidly-dying literate population; to the bleakly-beautiful rendered wastelands; and the caricatures of humanity that managed to survive the onset of this cataclysm who paint a jagged and wondrous visage of oil and blood.
If you, too, enjoy driving a custom souped-up rust bucket through desolate deserts, launching exploding spears at your enemies, and giving your water to thirsty idiots who didn't plan before they packed for their nomadic voyage into No-Man's-Land, you should absolutely add "Mad Max" to your library, and ride eternal, shiny and chrome, on the Roads to Valhalla!
