IF YOU HAVE PLAYED DESTINY 1 FOR 500+ HOURS & PLAYED THIS GAME ON LAUNCH YOU PROBABLY SEE WHY THIS GAME IS NOT A GAME THAT I CAN RECOMMEND EVEN IF YOU CAN OVERLOOK THE MESS OF FINANCIAL DECISION MAKING THAT WAS MAKING THE GAME F2P AND VAULTING CONTENT (Red War campaign, Warmind, Curse of Osiris AND FORSAKEN??) IT STILL HAS MANY UNDERLYING ISSUES THAT CANNOT BE IGNORED AND MAKE THE GAME WARRANT SUCH NEGATIVITY.

If you are just starting out on this game after the vaulted content and have no clue what the first 3 DLCs were, I suggest you just leave it off your account. It has gameplay and unique teamwork mechanics not seen often that I believe COULD have been awesome but they drop the ball and make the grind not fun or even worth it. In the game you have “Light Level” to determine your strength. But EVERY season they update the max light level and min light level. So basically if you go inactive long enough the loot you grinded for to do “endgame” content is outclassed and the progress you made invalidated. Long enough is literally 2-3 seasons. Sure a couple months for each season but you have to be dedicated to this game to remain in the end game. The F2P aspect of the game created such an awful experience. AND BTW IMPORTANT STORY PLOT POINTS ARE VAULTED! LIKE CAYDE-6’s DEATH IS NO LONGER ACCESSIBLE WHEN THAT IS A CRITICAL PLOT POINT WHEN THEY VAULTED FORSAKEN! When weapons were deemed too powerful instead of nerfing them, they “sunset” the weapons. Meaning it is not able to be empowered to a higher light level than the 1,100 level when max is like 1,800 now. This essentially locks the weapon from end game usage and crucible, the pvp mode. So instead of attempting to balance the weapon, they just BAN the gun. LAZINESS TO A COMPLETE NEW LOW. The game has much more issues but to keep myself from imploding from rage I decided to end the review here. I really wish Bungie hadn’t run this game into the ground and destroyed the hopes of many hopeful guardians wanting to see the game have an epic sequel. What they have done is irreversible and this game should be buried far far deep where it should never see the light of day.
