My all time favorite.Do i need to say more?

First it's a lot about the atmosphere .First there is the tight feel of loneliness , despite the world around you is so lively (may be one of the liveliest I've ever seen in a game) ,but yet twisted - which in fact make you feel more lonely. And the feel of relief when you see a camp fire with another stalkers (especially when there is one with a guitar) - priceless :).

And the psychedelic moments in brain scorcher levels. Nothing , nothing similar in any other game.

Or the creepy underground levels - one of the scariest FPS moments.

Also one pretty well integrated RPG elements.

Just believe me you must see this.

Graphics still is good with one of the best dynamic lights at the time was released.

Sounds are so ...ambient and solid.

There are some ..let's say .. minor bugs but they are almost unnoticeable.

And buy the other two stalkers too !

-Clear sky improves the artifact hunting , and adds (not so well working) fractions system.(and also immortal cloacked bloodsuckers)

-Call of Pripyat is the most well polished of the three with improved quest system.

And as a advice get also complete mode - it's well integrated with the steam version of the game
