This is the game which got me into Touhou. It's a genuinely solid metroidvania with good gameplay, good art, great music, and a hell of a lot of fan service. I wish they went a little deeper with the story, but that doesn't detract from the game as a whole.

I feel the price is a little high considering how a single playthrough of the game is only ~6 hours, and that's factoring in time taken to get achievements and also dying to the bosses a lot. However, Luna Nights is very enjoyable, and I do definitely feel I've gotten my money's worth out of it, after having replayed it a few times, 100%'d it, and then listened to the OST a lot. There isn't much replay value outside of the boss rush mode, which makes most (sorry Cirno) of the game's bosses easily accessible, but I'd argue the bossfights are the best part of the game anyway.

Overall, I'd say Luna Nights is an 8.5/10. It's pretty, it plays well, I think I only encountered a few minor bugs in my several playthroughs, and the soundtrack is really good. This is a great game filled with fan service for anyone who's already a fan of Touhou, and is a good introductory game for someone looking to get into the series. There isn't much of a story, the game portrays the characters in a way which is easy for newcomers to understand, and it also features 2 songs which pretty much anyone on the internet will know - it gives an easily digestible taster of Touhou, whilst also being just a good game on its own.

If you like metroidvanias, if you like Touhou, or if you just want to listen to some good songs in a game which has nice pixel art with very fluid animations, buy this!
