A fantastic social game with no barrier to entry, an excellent price, and endless amount of progression and shenanigans! Modding also opens up the game to infinite amounts of free content!

What are the things that I like about this game?
  • No barrier to entry! I would even argue that the game is the most fun when you understand things the least! Learning about different enemies and how to use different tools is a thoroughly enjoyable experience
  • Unpredictable! Every session offers new experiences and scenarios. I personally have been playing this game weekly with a group of friends for over 8 months straight, and even still, every session feels fresh and hilarious
  • Unparalleled multiplayer experience (with friends)! This is an extremely chaotic game, and best experienced with some brave (or not so brave) friends! Proximity voice chat is incredibly immersive and is unlike anything I have experienced in other multiplayer games. There's absolutely nothing like hearing your friends screaming off in the distance at some unknown threat!
  • Active modding community! Though the vanilla game is 100% worth playing on it's own, modded content continues to stretch out this game's lifespan for me. Modders have created tons of new gamemodes, items, moons, enemies, and cosmetics, so there are always new things to try!
  • Genuinely stressful, but in an exhilarating and hilarious way! The horror aspects of this game are extremely organic and come mostly from the immersive environment (excellent lighting, sound, and ambience) and different monster encounters you and your crew might have.
  • Dying is still fun (in multiplayer)! The game is not easy, so you can expect to die a lot, but when you die, you get to spectate your friends from beyond the grave. I would honestly say that spectating is every bit as fun as actually playing because of all the funny moments you'll get to witness!

Who would I recommend this game to?
  • People who enjoy games with a low barrier to entry
  • People who enjoy being immersed in a game-world
  • People who have friends to play this game with
  • People who only have a couple hours per day to play
  • People who can laugh at their own mistakes (and the mistakes of others!)
  • People who don't mind being a little scared

Who would I NOT recommend this game to?
  • People who prefer single-player games
  • People who prefer games with permanent progression
  • People who prefer combat-focused games
  • People who take gaming very seriously
  • People who prefer not to learn through trial and error
  • People who are not going to use proximity voice chat (whyyyy)
