With the recent Waypoint 4.0 release, the dream we were sold all those years ago when No Man's Sky launched finally feels delivered. The inventory changes make playing normal a fantastic experience (disclaimer: didn't play enough pre-Waypoint to be impacted by the technology changes a number of people are frustrated by).

Despite the absolute disaster the game launched as, Hello Games has done a phenomenal job adding content since, without asking players to spend a cent more. The only game I can think of that comes close to having added similar volumes of free content is Minecraft.

If you're a fan of sandbox building, resource gathering, ticking the boxes by documenting every species in a solar system, being a pirate menace to all who cross your path, or just vibing out on your way to the middle of the galaxy, NMS is the game for you.

Yeah, I've heard good things about the updates. Kinda wish I had gotten it on sale back in the day.
