I am halfway through this game (pun intended) and I am loving it so far.

The game is minimalist and there is no spoon feeding here: the tutorial gives you the basics and you need to figure out the rest of the game mechanics on your own. The pure RNG in terms of hit rates seems to pan out fine with the correct stats and equipment. In terms of difficulty, applying simple strategies makes it an enjoyable experience for a casual gamer such as me. As for the hardcore gamers, there is a mod that really ups the difficulty.

Character dialogues are well done and consistent with their respective personalities. The special abilities of each character gives the game its flavour and adds to the role playing element. Albeit coming across a few minor spelling mistakes (i.e. aktivate) , the look and feel of the game is simply stunning and very fitting for a retro sci-fi themed game.

Kudos to the developers. I look forward to experiencing their other games once I am done with Halfway!
