I'm quite pleased with the relaunch. Game runs and looks good. I've only had a few PVP matchmaking failures, which are prior to match start and not a major pain. Folks seem to be complaining how the camera will zoom in more now when fighters are near each other, and apparently the speed has been lowered by 10% overall, but I agree with both of these decisions. The roster here is quite large and unique, but I still badly want some older WB characters like Freakazoid. The stage selection still feels a bit limited. They need to bring back basic 2vBot matches, besides the new Rift mode. The netplay has been extremely solid for me. I've only had one match out of dozens that I felt any lag in. 1GB fiber here.

BattlePass XP should be given in small increments for playing matches, not just for completing daily and weekly missions or other events. Its pretty baffling that you can get to a point where you earn absolutely 0 BattlePass XP until timers refresh the next day or week. Fix this.

I can firmly say this is the best Smash clone we have on PC. The hate mob surrounding this one seems artificial. If it's political, I sure dont see them saying as much.
