Throw out everything you know about RTS's. This ActionRTS is probably one of the most unique cross-combinations of genres we've seen over the last couple of years. Fun missions, a unique RPG style customization system, and fun online play, make this a must own game for PC gamers.

Slight nuances, and a lack of customization options, shouldn't deter you from buying this great Diablo clone (created by some Ex-Blizzard guys). Combat is fun, spells are interesting, and a random loot system, make this game fairly replayable.

Buy it. Buy it now. Between the fantastic online community, the intesnse, fast-paced combat, or any of the dozens of collectable items, you'll be playing this game for awhile.

Be prepared; hilliarity will ensue.

Portal started as a community Mod on the Source engine, and was eventually purchased by Vavle - and rightly so. It has perhaps one of the most interesting and unique gameplay elements of the past decade. Do yourself a favor, buy the Orange Box. The best Price:Value you'll ever find in gaming.

Here's to hoping for Portal 2, and hopefully a portal gun in Half-Life 3.

Mirrors Edge. For all the parkour nerds out there, this is a must buy game. It's great entertainment with stunning visuals, and an interesting combat system. Definately worth buying if it's ever on sale, and when you're done playing through the single player, you'll wish that EA would announce a second one already.

Quick, small, and grity 'CoD' like maps make for an interesting game. However, the lack of many weapon choices, or a deeper class system, make you yearn for a better game. So do yourself a favor, skip MoH, and purchase Bad Company 2 instead. MoH is great, and I spent many hours playing the beta, and providing feedback, but it just doesn't feel as polished as Bad Company does.

If MoH ever drops in price during a Steam sale, then I would recommend grabbing it. If not, there are better options out there.

Hands down the best game of 2010. It took all the misgivings from the previous Mass Effect, and improved on almost all of them. You'll be sucked into the story more, the missions feel epic, and the ending makes you wish Mass Effect 3 was already out. The crappy resource gathering 'mini-game' and medicore boss fights should not deter you from buying this game. Do yourself a favor, pick it up, play it, and get engrossed in the universe that is Mass Effect. I promise you, you won't regret it.

Although the combat in the orginal Mass Effect can be somewhat repetitive, there is nothing quite like the story telling of a Bioware game. It will suck you into the story, and make you feel part of a universe larger than your own. If you missed this game, you're doing yourself a great injustice.

For the immense amount of things you can do in this sandbox game, there had to be something to pull it down a notch, and that is the mediocre missions. They get repetitive fairly quickly, although the main 'Agency' missions are far more entertaining. Even if you get bored with the side missions however, there's nothing quite like grappling an innocent bystander to a moving vehicle.
