Decent length - not ridiculously long, as is common in similar games -, not grindy, and a very solid battle system that shines in how it allows the player to combine the party member's strengths in a multitude of ways.

However, it generally doesn't feel like what we've come to expect from a JRPG; mostly resembles some sort of turn-based Diablo. Developers show pretty much no interest in storytelling - the plot's just there to justify walking around beating up on stuff -, and the idea of running the same procedurally generated dungeons in different difficulties is certainly more Blizzard than Square. These design choices can feel like a fresh Western take on a classic Japanese genre when done once, but I'd hope they don't become commonplace.
