The game has been almost two years in development and it is still has alpha version. Melee-fights are still clumsy, you can't predict where your AI opponent will strike due to laggy movement animations. No vehicle diversity. Character animations are nothig close to an AAA-game made by a large group of devs which made huge money on pre-oders. Regular patches only include new hats and nothing more significant. That is a fact. At the meantime dayz-mod was much better optimized/coded and had a great loot/vehicle diversity without useless rubbish like books. You can't see any game-mechanics polishing because there is no polishing at all. Price is increasing, game quality is not. There is no excuse for devs for not doing their job properly through the years. Save your monies lads.

Waahhh! This game has been in alpha for two whole years! It's buggy and unfinished! These guys don't know what they are doing! Don't pay a discounted price to play the unfinished game now! Waaah! You whiners need to get a clue. Games go a few years in development before hitting beta. Guess what? An alpha game is -unfinished- and going to have bugs. Maybe someone should put a disclaimer on the store page to that effect and when you open up the game?

I am stoked I get to play it long before release and when it gets finished I will already own it and have paid a lesser price, I will have gotten to see the game progress and help with the creation of it by reporting the bugs and giving feedback as it goes. It was awesome of the devs to give us this opportunity to get our hands on the game even while unfinished and save money on it. The complainers are clueless as to how game development works and ungrateful.

Rip money.bought it 1 year ago. have been playing casually every 2 days or so. New updates: more fps drops.

PS: they dont even focus on fixing fps in the updates. they add new clothes instead..

I am starting to believe the devs of this game were originally modders hired to make the DayZ Standalone by modding the Arma 2 engine with it's own launcher, the only things that have been done so far are the same things that modders could do and I can't seem to find any information about Hicks with previous game development.

I mean come on, Dean Hall doesn't know squat either and he jumped ship.

For everyone saying that the game is coming out of Alpha by late 2015 I truly hope not because they are NOWHERE finished. The game is still heavily broken and they really need to fix a lot of it. I'm glad that all the helpful reviews are turning negative so everyone can be warned that this game is waaaaaaay to broken for it's price, especially since they have already made millions on the people they fooled into think that the devs care about them and that they will COMPLETE the game. Not just add a patch that fixes a single problem and then add dresses. There is no way in hell that this game will be even finished in early 2016. And when I say finished, I mean what is expected out of a game that is in/near Beta. Not unoptimization and heavy clipping.
