I was sold on the cover alone really, hilarious and represents the game perfectly. If you have played Vampire Survivors, this will feel familiar with it's mechanics and balance. Making up builds is easy and natural, nothing about surviving is guesswork, all that good stuff.
Graphics are stylized retro, much more preferable over realistic.
Music ranges from awful to touhou, so basically 1-10. There are one or two tracks I want to never hear, and there is at least one track that straight up sounds out of touhou, a few that are metal af, and some that are suitable and decent. You CAN pick your music from what I can tell. There is music selection on the preparation menu, but I haven't actually touched it, so it might not actually affect the music that plays during your run.
The levels are plentiful and so far, masterful. Really well thought out for different play styles and situations.
There are a lot of small noticieable things players will appreciate.

Overall it's just awesome. I have a feeling I have barely scratched the surface, but I already stayed up way too late losing track of time with how fun it is.

Much better take on the chinese faction compared to the one made for the old game. It's actually balanced.

I don't care for hazama at all, he's a cardboard cutout anime archetype, but 91Act know how to make any character fun to play in the end. Also, that price is actually perfectly reasonable and getting rare to see in the industry.

Bonus: His black and white alt colors make him look like michael jackson.

Short, but extremely fun. It feels as tight as quake III. Really leaves me wanting more. I really don't even know what to say beyond this being just good. The weapons could be more creative, but they feel great otherwise. The progression is perfect, it runs fantastic despite being on unreal. Enemies are varied well, though I do hate the mechs. I don't think I can really justify 30 bucks for 4 hours, but I could see myself playing this again.

A little buggy. One bug I ran into was a broken spawn, which isn't fixed on closing the game so that's actually just a broken spawn, and after some time bullets stopped rendering.

This is absolutely the Sekiro of Dynasty Warriors. They ramped up the difficulty (in the full game, I have no doubt it will be possible to farm stronger weapons like in all previous entries). We got parries, we got cancels, we got counters, we got the most sturdy officers who refuse to be cheesed, we got our own retinue of dudes, WE GOT DUELS BACK, we got mechanics layered on mechanics. It also runs great and looks great. My only complaint is Lu Bu has a new VA. His old VA is iconic.

This may turn out to be the pinnacle of Musou.

EDIT: Just beat Hero difficulty. They nailed the difficulty curve, and how fun it is to hit the peak. Doesn't get much more satisfying and hype than getting Lu Bu in a repeat parry combo.

One of the most important parts of a survival horror is pacing. This game does not have good pacing at all. Things felt ruined by poorly placed notes which hid environmental scares by being in a menu, and bad sound design. The environments are also mostly empty and makes the game feel so drawn out and boring. In contrast, Silent Hill has absolutely no wasted space or time.
Time until monster that looks off and represents a repressed memory or feeling of characters in Silent Hill? Like, a minute. In this game? 40 minutes. 40 minutes of me not thinking about anything but where am I going.
There are hints of good design here and there, but it all feels more like it was taken from inspiration rather than understanding the idea behind the designs.

I really can't go too far in to critique without spoiling this game, or the Silent Hill series, but it feels like a game made by someone who played ps2 survival horror without understanding how harrowing of an experience the games are. It shouldn't take half an hour for horror to even show up.

I made "The Baron" (if you know, you know), kissed a woman, almost got murdered by the rock because I got too close to him, witnessed two murders, tried and failed to lift my bed to fix it, then the woman I kissed went in to labor. The baby actually came out of the ground like a zombie, and was not a baby, but a tiny adult man.

Finally I can give this a review on the gameplay rather than criticize it for requiring an epic account.

The game is actually great fun, and has the usual deadpan jokes. It is definitely harder than 5, but the new enemies and weapons balance each other out in the end. The story is dumb and I love it. If you liked 4 and 5, you will like this. It's a no-brainer.

A pretty big negative: Epic Online Services is still used rather than what they did before, and it is noticeably less synced up. Reviving a teammate might bring them back next to you, or they get up miles away because in their game they were that far away. This can make tactical decisions flop, or be a saving grace if they are away from imminent danger.

I do hope we get to get access to buying the Hololive dlc's. I think the Japanese ones had more effort put in.
