I rarely ever post reviews but this game... Wow, I never fell so hard in love for a small indie game so incredibly quick like I have for Distraint. I was pulled in by its great artwork and the premise but I really wasn't prepared for how strongly I would feel for this game. The characters, story and the themes and messages it tackles are all absolutely spot on. Just the interactions between your character Price and Mrs Goodwin are amazing on its own, despite saying so little when there's so much behind every word of dialogue. I don't want to spoil anything because it really is a game that needs to be experienced by yourself.

Pros:
- Awesome art style
- Great atmosphere
- Excellent story and characters
- Handles mature themes really well
- Fun if simple adventure game-style gameplay
- Insanely cheap
- Gets the feels going if you're invested in the story
- Short but very sweet

Cons:
- Occasional obscure puzzle
- That's... all I think? It's a great game!

Distraint is absolutely worth picking up if you love your indie darlings because it absolutely is up there with the best indies to date. With Distraint 2 in development, I'm SUPER excited to see where Jesse Makkonen will take Price's story because while I thought the ending was perfect just the way it is, I'm totally on board to see what other dark, dreary and emotional places this story will go.

So yeah, buy it if it seems like your kind of game!
