Best dungeon crawler I have played in a while, imo the length is also pretty perfect.
Hopefully we'll get a follow-up game or something in the future.

Early Access Review
DOOR STUCK! DOOR STUCK!

Well actually no, all doors have been removed from the game about 6 months ago.
Because the dev. did not manage to fix synching them correctly between players.
As of yet there is still no ETA at all, the poor doors might never come back at all.

Yes this is an early access game, but the developers time and time have shown to not listen to the players, focus on selling DLC/limited editions and making overall bad decisions.

This game used to be my goto VR game to have some quick fun with friends, but sadly it's been on a downward trend ever since - and I can't see the developers fixing this mess anytime soon (or sadly ever).

Highlights:
  • No doors
  • Conveyor belt eats the items you wanted to sell
  • Reaching/Picking up stuff feels bad or becomes impossible due to your tiny T-Rex arms
  • Weapon handling is bad
  • Weapons (and backpacks) tend to bug out, get stuck in objects, desync and fly to the moon
  • Immersive generator refueling gameplay that causes your VR menu to become unreadable
  • Leveling trader rep takes for ages, unless ... you buy the DLC
  • Game crashes often

tld;dr if you like doors don't get this game

One of the best games I've bought in 2022.
The game can feel a little clunky or rough, but it also does a lot right.
I just wish there was a new game+ option that would allow you to retain unlocked stuff so you can try playing with more/different heroes.

Bugs, bugs and more bugs - not a finished product.

Great game, while it has been out a while it constantly receives new content and patches from the devs.

The gameplay tends to be more slow and methodically than compared to most FPS games set in the current/modern area, a big part of this is the (almost) absence of automatic weapons.
It's easy enough to pick up and play, but also features some pretty indepth mechanics and systems to keep you engaged in the long run.

While people like to compare it with Tarkov, I very much prefer Hunt.
Hunt is less obsessed with your equipment, while you can and should try many things you can't completly gimp yourself by taking the wrong bullets. As most of the time, this game is way more with a friend or two to play.

If you come expecting a real sequel to planescape torment you will have a bad time.
The game feels like it was rushed out the door without with lots of missing content.

Companions are hardly fleshed out, there is a lot of background lore but you don't actually get to see it. It feels like they just pushed a lot of lore dialogue into random NPCs so they could brag how lore rich this game is. Plot threads end abruptly in lines like 'yes too much happened, I won't go into it' in many parts of the game.
There's still very noticeable bugs that never got fixed, like sticky popup texts not going away.
Combat is very very basic

One of my favourite VR games.
If you have it do yourself a favour and mod it, the fun increases exponentially.

Ranking, multiplayer modes, custom avatars, sabers, new songs, filter and search functions, gameplay modifiers there's a lot of additional content you can add to your beatsaber that is well worth it.
