Synergy is a Half-Life 2 mod, which is used mostly for co-op play, although can be used for PvP and can be used with custom campaigns. Synergy is well made and very user friendly.

There's not much to it, other than it being HL2/HL2:E1/HL2:E2 co-op. Theoretically Synergy could be used as an alternative to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch if you don't want to shell out the 62 cents. This mod for HL2/HL2:E1/HL2:E2 also has workshop support, where you can use custom player models,

Overall: Synergy is a good mod and is only around 1Gb. There's really no reason not to download Synergy
