While my original review's point still stands about the Remaster being a crashing mess, upon a repeat playthrough, this game looks and feels way better than the original. Keep that quicksave key handy!

As for actual points about the game, I think this game is kind of the unnecessary black sheep of the franchise, which i think is ridiculous; Both the base game and Minerva's Den tell compelling stories about life after Jack's run through Rapture and many important people in the political system dying, showing the power vacuum left in its wake, and not only that, but being able to play as a drill-clad Big Daddy with a heart of gold, its by far one of the most fun games in the series to me and the most kinetic given the player's weapons, plasmids, and the fact that you can dualwield weapon and plasmid now, it comes together to create one of the most fluid and action packed Bioshock games to date. While some parts of the story dont feel very compelling, such as helping Elanor (We really arent given much of a reason to care about her, despite Delta's life relying on her's, and the fact that we learn about her backstory throughout the game), it is still a very strong entry in the series that explores and answers a lot of questions left from Bioshock 1. It is my personal favorite in the series, and Id recommend it to everyone.

P.S. Minerva's Den is painfully overlooked, its an incredible short DLC that tells an interesting, mostly disconnected story that I can't really talk about here without spoiling things. Play it! Its a great story DLC that gives you frickin' laser beams and a black hole Plasmid to toy around with.

Original Review (January 10th, 2018):
The game is great, fun gameplay and if you liked Bioshock 1, you will definetly like Bioshock 2. The reason I dont recommend this game is because its far to buggy and it crashes way too often for me to recommend. Stick to the old Bioshock 2 rather than playing the remaster
