This is a great immersive game (Solo Play so far, looking forward to the multiplayer experience). Progression is linked to mile stones with a risk and reward approach. I love the way new areas are unlocked. The building aspect is simple but very effective with cosmetic details that too many games miss. The lighting is amazing in both the open world and the areas you build. The best fast travel system in game with some static places and a few that you can locate where you want. Still needs a little material cost balancing, but if you know where materials are you can gather enough with a little leg work. Combat feel good and the glider and grapple are a beautiful touch to exploration. Voxel approach to the environment give you the diggy diggy hole vibe, the pick axe is my friend and gets me to place or out of a tight spot. As much as I like playing Valheim, this take the top spot like a better half sibling.

Tip: The very first place you spawn is a fast travel point, build you first base a little way from it to get the best fast travel network going. The rest is on you ;)

Its a nope from me. Controls are not great, mouse issues, doesn't like dual screens. Game play isn't as good as it could be. It was game over once I hit the musical number.

This game is a rabbit hole. Anyone with certain traits will get close to obsessed.
You build, learn, rebuild, learn, you restart armed with solid basics. Then you build, learn, make it pretty with another rebuild, learn, oh dear this needs to be much bigger. Tear it all down and make it even bigger. Right, this ain't big enough... oh it's morning again.

**WARNING** - You will loose sleep over and over again.

You aren't able to crossplay with friends like you used to on update 8 and earlier without an Epic account.
As I don't want an Epic account, I am unable to play with half my friends as I used to.
This should be a choice not mandatory!

Definitely should win awards!

Soooo Planet Crafter....
I was attracted to the game as I like this genre in general, but with the add familiarity of Subnautica on land.
Game play so far as I'm just over 50% into the one of the higher end goals is pretty good. Various machinery still need some work balancing and tweeks. It holds promise so far even though it is very unfinished and the end game doesn't seem to exist a tall currently. I do love how you do see the impact of your progression as each milestone is reached.

Personally I would like to see:
• intro sequence that explains your predicament like a montage of being caught, sentenced, commuting sentence, training and finally bundled into a ship and launched.
• More game lore which would make this sparkle even more.
• Overall chart of total terraforming goals.
• Voice logs and vocal alerts.
• Gathering Drones and drone stations.
• Ability to harness ship reactors.
• Cutting through doors and bulkheads would be a great addition to exploring and salvaging wrecks.
• Polar regions.
• 2-4 person Co-op mode (done similarly like Icarus for hosting).
• ship/satellite crashing instance.
• Motivational device/monitor spouting positive cheesy and some what sarcastic phrases.
• Turning plants into cloth.
• A mini rover with cargo space and/or trailer (although the jetpack is fun).

A return to the old skool top down isometic feeling games. A great mayhemic shooter looting in a very very pretty cyberpunk environment with nod to many IP in the sci-fi genre. Nice story, side quests and pretty good voice acting. A good jump on blast stuff and jump off game.

This game is a rabbit hole. The more you get into it the more you can do and the more you want to learn.
I've wanted a building game to scratch that itch but this is like the ultimate back-scratcher. Engineering, construction, exploration, survival and a good chunk of skirmish battles. Challenge yourself or take up scenarios and try to beat them. Looking forward to some co-op survival play. Very mod friendly and i'm looking at scrips already.

Cant wait to play the full shiny finished version. I have lost myself in this game (and previous one).
So many wondrous sight to behold. Play with a headset for a real good immersed experience.
WARNING: Time dilation effect. Start at 8pm, look at the clock and ooops 8am.

obviously visually better than the original (yes i'm old enough to remember it).... much better now than at release as we nicknamed it 'space trucker sim' you can pursue your own groove with much better returns. Slower more involved experience. Not for the short term interest player.

Fun, but extremely grindy if you're playing for free. A lot of XP plateauing and little progression/forward movement due to lower gains than premium passholders (free player are penalised up to 50%). I have had the fortunate privilege to have 1 day premium pass and it made a huge difference to progression and gains, more so than it should for a game of this type. Mostly advanced builds are cultivated through generating coins in the market rather than grinding for materials. ALL advanced benches cost coins to use and the market place stings you for 10% for selling. However the building and battling aspect is quite fun indeed once you have a healthy selections of parts.
