As someone who played SO2 back when it first released on the PS1, this is how a remake should be done. There have many many improvements to the game ranging from simple QOL improvements to improvements to the combat systems as well as a full over haul of the graphics while still retaining the spirit of the original.

Played for about 2 hours the morning of release after I got home from work and I enjoyed what little bit I played. My wife on the other hand has been playing since release and when I went to bed at 630 in morning she said she would finish the mission she was playing then come to bed, I woke up at 2pm to get ready for work and she never came to bed and is still playing.

I suck at writing reviews but here is my piss poor attempt at one.

If you enjoy the older Harvest Moon games such as Harvest Moon: Back To Nature, Friends of Mineral Town, or DS then you will definitely enjoy Stardew Valley. This game strikes all the right cords in terms of nostalgia all the while adding in many quality of life improvements and features one gets with something being made for PC.
There is a highly active modding community over on the Chucklefish Forums and Nexus Mods through the use of SMAPI (Stardew Modding API) allowing for a wide range of customization of the game.

This game is Zen incarnate. If you are looking for a good way to unwind or decompress after a stressful day, then this is the game for you.

Early Access Review
7 Days to Die is an open world sandbox zombie survival crafting game that has been in development for a few years now. The game has already received its 15th major alpha update with the 16th update being almost 7 weeks into development at the time of this review. With each update new features are added with many of the already exsiting ones being refined or tweaked in some way giving a better experience as a whole.

In game you will need to both scavenge and craft supplies to survive, there is also a lot to explore in both the default map and the random world gen maps but dont neglect building a foritified base as on the night of every 7th day you will have to fend off a horde of zombies untill dawn that get progressivly get harder as you continue to play.

The game has a fairly active and helpful modding community on the games official forums with mods ranging from simple edits to the games XML files to full on overhauls. There is also a team of dedicated modders who have developed a third party modding aplication called SDX which allows the importing of new 3D models made in Unity, ranging from new work stations or blocks to weapons and armor for use in game with apropreate edits to the XML files giving functionality to said objects.

Over all the game is alot of fun to play both with friends and solo, and the devs are always listening to the community for feedback and ideas as what works and what doesn't which has lead to several mods and player submitted ideas having made it into the official game itself.

I alredy own this on the 360 so dont be fooled by how much time I have played on steam. This game will eat up every bit of free time you have with its story telling, and the large amount of quests available. Add in steam workshop support for easy access to more mods and addons than you can shake a stick at, this game will keep you busy for a long time to come.
