An excellent and evocative experience, mixing the very bones of fps level design history with a european brutalist aesthetic and the only honourable use of AI asset generation yet achieved.

Worth playing if you enjoy exploring strange worlds and seeing some interesting and compelling immersive sim aspects. An enigmatic and desolate world, with gameplay similar to Subnautica and other survival/exploration sims.

Need to kick some doors down and shoot some men in the head? Don't want to go online or spend ages loading up some huge single player epic? Just boot up RICO and get straight into it.

There are some funny issues with the level generation sometimes, and occasionally difficult arrangements of game items (especially bomb locations), but the devs seem to be planning lots of improvements. Looking forward to my next case!

A cool multiplayer party game about slicing up your friends while jumping up a collapsing building - if you like 90s arcade platformers and have 3 friends ready to play with you should get scrappin'.

Abandon Ship is, yes, quite close to the obvious 'FTL on sea' comparison. However it has a degree more player freedom and a more tightly plotted story to carry you through the game.

In its current Early Access form it's still being worked on. However the core gameplay is already compelling and satisfying to play. The combat sequences in particular are fun to play and increase in variety as you progress through the game. The map exploration is fun, and as more targeted encounters are added to map features it should end up being as exciting as Pirates! and other games of this type.

The visuals are great - the 'painted' art style on the sea surface in particular is amazing, and the wide variety of different biomes, weather and climate types are all really atmospheric. The music is fantastic, and the sound effects work very well. Some actions need more sound effects/effects, and the UI is a bit rough in places, but the developer has created a really distinctive looking game which plays well straight away.

Recommended to give a go in Early Access, and it has a huge amount of promise for the eventual full release! Worth buying now as the developer seems to be really responsive to feedback, and it's already improved massively since first EA release.

Binaries is a puzzle platformer with a simple concept which rapidly intensifies into a really challenging series of puzzles.

This is a very well-designed game - every level seems to introduce a new concept or mechanic. Each time you think you've seen all that can be done, a level appears with something new to keep things fresh. It's a masterpiece of level design. If you get stuck there are always plenty of levels to try instead on the level select screen.

There are 101 levels, each with par time rankings to beat. Developer will be adding global rankings (among other requested features) which the speedrunners and streamers should love.

Highly recommend you pick this up and see if you're as good at puzzle games as you think you are.

This game is going to stay with me a long time. The story is compelling, well written and well acted, and the atmosphere evoked by the subject and the interface is second to none.

Some parts of the game are clunky, obscure and frustrating - but I'd argue this adds to the experience. Your tools are imperfect, just like your eventual understanding of what happened and why. You're struggling to dredge up a fragmentary story which is obscured by the interview format, the complex relationships between characters and the inability to sequentially access clips. This is important - you're never going to be 100% certain. You only need to prove to yourself that you made your best effort to understand the stories, actions and motivations of people you only really know from a set of 20 year old video clips.

Play for as long as you like but your mind will be turning over what you learned - or what you thought you learned - for a long time afterwards. Highly recommended.
