This is a solid roguelike platformer (not a metroidvania, as it doesn't rely on a static map, backtracking, and consistent upgrades), with a great soundtrack and intense difficulty. Be aware, however, that it does not seem to work properly with the Steam controller under any circumstances; the only workaround I've found is to rebind the keyboard controls to those simulated by the Steam controller.
