It took me nearly 150 hours -- nearly 1000 deaths, ~80% of them self-inflicted -- before winning my first run of Noita, and I still keep coming back to it almost every day. It is without exaggeration the most uncompromising roguelike game I've ever played, but its deceivingly complex spell and material dynamics make it feel almost limitless in scope and potential; it's truly no wonder why folks will commit thousands of hours to it. You will inevitably make many fatal mistakes, given that the game does not hold your hand *in the slightest*, but learning from them is the ultimate key to its mastery. Experiencing this game has only been made even more special through the blossoming of a generous and curious community of players and modders, all who continue to share secrets and new discoveries hidden in its cryptic, dangerous, and ever-shifting world.
