Absolutely fantastic open world 1st person rpg. They really nailed the dark gothic tone and bizarre world. I am constantly wandering around going "what the HELL is that omg" in my head, or "whoa, super cool!". The world design and world building is top notch, REALLY well done. Some of the core rpg systems feel old and outdated (combat) and it's fairly easy to become overpowered quickly. Overall though, the positives outweigh the negatives by an enormous margin. Highly recommended for any fans of the genre!

The committee of suits sat down and said "make an open world role playing game with treasures to find everywhere" and then the suits turned into bats and flew back to their caves. Then the worker peons got to work and ...

It's "open world" but don't jump off that rock onto that roof. Instadeath respawn. Tsk tsk.

It's a "role playing game" but play this very specific role we tell you to.

It's a secret treasure hunters dream but every treasure is on top of a 400 km high sheer cliff. It was told once upon a time that someone knew how to get to the top but that legend was lost millennia ago.

Even if you spend hrs finding your way inside Mt Kilimanjaro ... there will be an impassible barrier you cannot get past because you don't have an ability for that. Tsk tsk. I'm wagging my finger at you player. How dare you.

Absolutely fantastic turn based Warhammer 40k rpg! Starts off very difficult but quickly becomes more manageable once you unlock a few things. Highly recommended for any fans of the genre.

Respawning enemies in a game like this is absolutely 100% a deal breaker. Save yourself the time, and until they (definitely) patch this out sometime in the future, just skip this title and spend your time removing your toenails with a wrench or other similar more fun exercises.

Absolutely wonderful game! I'm having a blast in the Living Lands, exploring every nook and cranny, discovering new background info and lore, and having some pretty difficult battles. The combat system continues to evolve over time as well which is nice, it never feels stale. For any fan of open world rpg's, I can't recommend this title enough. There are a few minor downsides, like the minimap being worthless, npc's are a little lifeless, stuff like that. But these minor things don't detract too much from the whole. Overall it's still a wonderful time.

Absolute masterpiece. A modern classic that deserves a play by every fan of the genre. The entire game feels like a love letter to retro rpg's from the past, but with all the modern features you'd expect. Including some of the best combat I've seen in any rpg in a long time. Even up until the end of the game, I was changing my combat playstyle, trying new formations, combos, etc.

Absolutely having a blast! Highly recommended dlc, and honestly makes the entire game so much better. This is the best implementation of a pet class I have ever seen in any arpg. This sets a new standard that I fear so many other future arpg's won't get anywhere near close to achieving. They should all take note!

They took a complex, dark, political, and very much adult oriented story and reduced it to disney for kids. This game is squarely aimed at 8 year olds. Everything is nauseatingly happy and smiley constantly everywhere. The dialog is the worst dialog I have ... EVER ... seen in any game I've ever played. By far. Then the combat. What happened? Where did it go? There just ISNT any combat here .... it's a brain dead button masher. Your companions are immortal for some reason so there's zero strategy whatsoever with them. And as far as your main player character, you just wind up mashing the same attack buttons repeatedly forever. I'm convinced a pet bird could play this game and enjoy it more than any human. Extremely sad to see this game reduced to this terribleness.

After reaching the endgame twice, I still don't think this game is worth the time spent. Any fan of the genre is FAR better off playing almost any other modern game available. Last Epoch is leaps and bounds better and respects your time.

This is a must play for CRPG lovers, and even moreso for fans of the Warhammer 40k universe. Owlcat has absolutely NAILED the lore, art, sound, setting, and characters for this universe. It's a joy to role play as these interesting characters. The combat can be a bit tedious at times: characters have an overabundance of skills / abilities that all synergize very specifically off other abilities. In simple combat: no big deal, but in boss encounters / difficult fights, it can be .......... confusing & frustrating to say the least.

That said, in the end it's still an amazing game I keep coming back to and am very excited to continue on my story to its conclusion. Highly recommended.
