Probably one of my favorite games I have played in recent memory. The devs have been updating the game, and the mods available help enrich the experience if you want to. Base game is quite interesting, though a bit limited when it comes to Sub design. That isn't to say that Sub building is bad, I quite enjoy designing new ships.

I haven't played in servers more than a couple times, I mainly play with my friends in the campaign mode and single missions. The ship PvP mode is alright, though it can be difficult to fully eliminate the enemy team as they can stockpile equipment and survive in a small hole somewhere.

The main campaign and free play missions are great. The atmosphere is amazing and the dangers are varied enough that you always have something to worry about. Plus with mods you get a ton of extra things to do or enemies to fight.
