When a developer starts seeing us fans only as wallets to be squeezed dry instead of people to be taken care of, it's time to GTFO. The overabundance of DLCs and the introduction of microtransactions shows they want to squeeze our wallets. The lack of fixes to common issues shows they don't much care about us once we've paid them.

There's a ton of things they could've fixed for Crimefest 2015 that would've made us happy. From little things such as not having to retoggle the laser/flashlight everytime you switch weapons to more significant improvements such as having saved loadouts, so you don't have to switch every weapon manually when switching between stealth and loud missions. Or they could've fixed the technical deficiencies in their engine, such as the desync issues that makes the actual positions of enemies/bodies/bags not where you see it on screen, which ruins stealth missions and gets you shot from empty space in loud missions. Or maybe fix the collision detection that lets cloakers pass through walls and floors. Or maybe let us save asset purchase preferences during the planning stage. Or maybe they could fix the bots blocking all your shots, you can shoot through other players, why do the bots block it all?!

I could go on. These are all quality of life improvements that are obvious to any veteran player. Which makes me wonder if management at Overkill actually plays their own game.

Edit: Now that they've backpedaled on microtransactions, I don't mind playing again. All the flaws outlined above still exists though. This review will remain negative. Overkill breached the trust of the community. And it'll take years of good behaviour before I spend even a penny on their products.

Edit 2: Overkill's behaviour this year has been surprisingly good. They finally fixed the patcher so that it doesn't make a copy of the entire damn game every patch. They've also finally paid some attention to the netcode, trying to fix desync issues. Another few years of this and I'll actually buy from them again.
