I haven't had a game make me tear up in a long, loong time. It's gonna stay in my head, that's a guarantee.
It's not perfect, some of the puzzles confused me and I plead guilty of looking up how to do a few of them. (post fruitflies I'm looking at you.)
The most interesting one was the one with clicking the NO button with the primate. I think the game would benefit from more "dynamic" puzzles like that one. .
The game tries to be self-aware a bit too hard, but that is something I like, that's its charm. It's not a "cozy but philosophical cute dog" type of a game, it gets ironic, Laika swears, it breaks the immersion a little but it makes me snort. I like Laika sarcastic and a little mean, she's got every right to that.
I greatly enjoyed it all, it's beautiful. Soundtrack is wonderful, I could listen to it on loop for a long, long time,
It's a cool take on Laika's story, and I think it cemented my decision to get a Laika tattoo. Thank you for letting me comfort her at the end.
