J.B.Blanc and Ten Thousand Voicelines is a long awaited game set in gigapopular wizarding world of a bestseller book Harry Potter and Fifty Points to Griffindor, and it is a good game.

Made for fans by fans, the world is quite vast and meticulously detailed, save for little historical liberties such as brits and scots being minorities in, ehm, 19th century Scotland. Nevertheless, it is a 10/10 virtual theme park.

Non-fans are getting a decent game with engaging yet not very deep combat system, that they will be able to break with playing it like a Diabloid and maximizing their gear - yes, Wizard's Creed: Origins continues the trend where you can loot LEGENDARY gear and it makes your NUMBERS bigger.

Unlike some other recent big openworld titles though, side activities and collections are done pretty well and aren't that boring, so points for that (to whatever house devs belong to)

And finally, props to WB for adequate regional price for Ukraine, thanks for not being complete goblins in this case (hello to Sony and Activision)

Pros:
- Visually and stylistically majestic game; in addition to that runs smoothly on older hardware
- All the shooty mechanics are decent; both stealth and gunsblazing approaches are sufficiently rewarding
- Good worldbuilding through visuals, sound and partially story and characters
- Great destructible environment (and I mean it!)

Nitpicks:
- Too much story - worldbuilding hangs on brilliant environmental design, but is nearly ruined by story that isn't supposed to be taken seriously (I believe that's the intent) and at the same time is overly dramatic/preachy
- Our arsenal isn't balanced, some of it is too good, some of it is useless
- Some of the perks are pain to get (if you want achievements)
- Every level has multiple unintuitive "points of no return" - it's a huge pain if you're hunting collectibles (again for achievements)
- Hardest difficulty is too easy (didn't get stuck once and I'm pretty bad)
- Easiest difficulty is too hard for its name (I'm serious, little kids will die and cry)
- Protagonist endures too much (physically, in cutscenes), on multiple occasions, and not on a single one it's explained even in game's half-comedic fashion... Kinda actually disappointed on this one, a little bit

Buggy garbage with annoying mechanics and awful level design.

Massive step down from the original.

Your free weekend attracted whole ~1k players.

Time to go free-to-play, Amazon.

Bought as a token of appreciation for anti-war support, this game turned out to be a real indie darling treat.

Great main gameplay loop, great difficulty curve, great character design, great enemy design, great music.

Fun hat mechanic is a cherry on top - even if you're NOT a fan of hats (like me), you'll have fun spotting rares and shooting them off - extra challenge!

Minor gripes - some playable characters are objectively much stronger than some others; also wish for more content (imagine this game with mod support, mmm!)

This game is truly the Dark Souls of Alice games.

Rise of the Cringe Terminator

Pros:
- Carefully and very well-made product, produced with love and inspiration by a bunch of talented and idealistic people
- Cool (although not fully original) character design
- S-tier music (no, really, it probably could snag some award on some game award event just for this)

Cons:
- Genre is niche and hard to get into (fighing is far more on hardcore side than casual)
- Story mode still nowhere near finished...

In conlusion:
Despite being only interested in story mode (which still has very little content), I can not leave a "negative" review, because games made with such amount of love, effort and talent should be praised and made example to others no matter what - that's my opinion.
