I give this a hesitant recommendation.

To put it simply, the story, characters and voice acting are excellent and are what kept me playing. I was genuinely interested in the characters and enjoyed how the story unfolded. The voice acting was strangely some of the best I've EVER heard in a video game, and I've played hundreds of games.

Buuuut....the gameplay was simply bad. Horrible pathing and character models that couldn't get out of each others way made it super awkward. Sometimes it wasn't clear what the objective was so you would fail instantly, or fight endless waves of orc without realizing you were supposed to click on something first. Slight spoiler: I was able to walk up to and one shot the final boss inside 3 seconds. The entire game builds up to this final boss battle and I literally walked up to him, pressed Q and clicked and it was done. Really anti-climactic...

If you're into a fun story, this game is with $5 for sure. If you just care about gameplay, avoid this one.

The game commits what I consider one of the cardinal sins of video game problems, it gives you a health bar then makes half of the enemies/obstacles instant death scenarios. If you enjoy clunky hitboxes with floors and walls that instantly kill you if you touch them, then you might get an hour or two of fun out of this, but if you're like me and think that mechanic should die in the 90's where we left it, I would have to say avoid this game.

Game was pretty solid, my main issues with it are that the story does a poor job of explaining itself. You can scan these spheres that give you a codex which you can read, but I feel the game could have *shown* the story more instead of forcing the player to read a massive amount of text.

If you can grab if for $5 I'd recommend it, but you might be disappointed if you go much beyond that.

This isn't a story about BJ Blatzkowicz, this is a story about an inanimate carbon rod. In Rod We Trust.

Grabbed this during the steam sale as I liked the bright aesthetic. Controls are smooth, puzzles are mostly physics based (at least the ones I'm at are) so you don't have to burn too many brain cells to get through it. Nice relaxing time killer puzzle game. Definitely worth the couple bucks they're asking.

If the game wasn't sidescrolling and was instead positioned behind the ball there might be something here worth killing some time with, but it isn't. Sidescrolling doesn't work when you can't see what's coming, needs camera control.

Carefully placed body parts in waste bin on the stairway landing, filled it to the top. Decided to put one bullet in as well. Bumped side of the waste bin with the bullet, waste bin goes flying, body parts fall out, roll down the stairs and splatter blood everywhere. 10/10.

I like the game, but half the time is spent just watching the computer AI make take their turn. Way too much wasted time that could have been sped up or removed. I can't recommend this game, even though it's decent, because it doesn't respect the players time at all.

Instant death QTE's at every turn, the clunkiest gunplay I've ever had and a completely over the top storyline.

I got to the level where you are unable to climb over a 5 foot gate in the cemetery for no apparent reason, so you have to chase a dog who decided to eat the key. Trying to combat these dogs with this horribly clunky mechanics was possibly the most frustrating gaming experience of my life. I tried K+M, Controller, adjusted every setting, but everything just felt wrong, and targetting anything that isn't standing still is basically impossible.

Maybe it's worth playing on easy for the story, but it's just a mess and I'm genuinely surprised at the positive ratings.

Seems like it has potential, but the AI is bugged out and the enemies just drive backwards or get stuck offscreen. Not playable unfortunately.
