When I first saw this game, I was like: "Huh, I guess someone ripped off Battle Network."

And while the framework of the game derives heavily from that Mega Man spin-off, the game is so much more than that. To put it simply, it's a fast-paced real time deck building game designed to be fast as frick and to be stylish while doing so.

The soundtrack compliments the frantic action of the game, and the charming characters and card descriptions help build a fine-tuned experience. The progression system and the learning of the enemy/boss patterns helps you from being burnt out, especially when you start unlocking cooler cards and new characters!! (Whatever you do, don't hit the shopkeep!)

Of course, this game has its bad sides. It's not really beginner-friendly, you're basically thrown into the game with the expectation for you to have at it. I would've loved a slower means of play to at least ease into it. Also, there are some things that (unless I missed it) aren't explained at all? I had no idea about the focus system until I accidentally clicked up in the menu.

Aside from those gripes though, this is a pretty damn good game. I really feel that this game's future is bright, as long as the devs and the modding community can help keep the game alive!

Overall: 8/10, needs some work in some places, and it might not be for everyone, but it's one hell of an addicting blast.

One of the two characters you can play without getting funny looks from other people. Oh, and he's basically Musical Robocop, so that's something.

This game is pretty damn good, even though you gotta fork more money to get the full experience. Something my poor ass can't do.
