Very worthy DLC. It's not playing around and changes the game wildly. It's more of a dlc that's about features. The only reason I'm not shouting about how this is the best low budget title is because it's derivative of the jrpgs and tactics... but I'm pretty sure these things are done better here, in this budget game, than they have ever been done before.

I haven't had a desire to play Halo since the original xbox. The one thing that made me want to play this sucks. I hate when games advertise coop and then it's got no kinda matchmaking. You can match make every other kinda mode with a thousand options from every halo game even if you don't own them... but you can't match make in the one mode I was curious about. The one native mode that doesn't really require many players... Rather just load up something else.

Early Access Review
If you're into these kinda sims, it's pretty standard, but it's success is elevating it.

Generally, these come and go, or they basically get a new coat of paint and are released again and again. This one, for whatever reason, popped off, and I think that's translating into more updates and more improvements. That alone makes me makes me pretty confident in my recommendation.

Like I said, it is pretty standard, it's not something like my summer car or something. It is what it sets out to be, and we could talk all day about what would make it better. I'm not wasting time with that here. What is said to be coming to it on the roadmap does sounds pretty great, I'll say that.

It's just nice to play a game that doesn't demand constant attention. It's a good solid sim, but it also can be played very passively. IDK what else you need to know. Mechanics work, done pretty well, obviously room for improvement.

The only major problem is you're gunna run out of stuff to do. I kinda accelerated my grind though it, but once you kinda figure everything out, you really just kinda done. So, get it early while it's cheap, or get it on sale. Always get games you want on sale obviously, but ya know, that's more a suggestion for those on the fence, plus sometimes early access games go up in price. Or, ya know, unless pokemon decides to sue them. If you want it, get it. Quit reading reviews you dope.
Goodbye

I had to buy this a second time because UPLAY was an evil idea... but... that's a testament to how good this one was. I've been wanting to get back into this, I just haven't found the time.

This one just has one of the best environments, and some of the coolest gameplay features. Also, it really goes pretty hard with it's villain. It suffers a little from a political bias, but not so much that makes me feel like calling it out on it's history.

I think this one, it's kinda pinnacle of classic AC gameplay, environment, level design, and... I don't wanna say the story, but it's probably got the best performances from it's cast.

There's more emotional stories, there's less political stories, there's more innovative gameplay, there's bigger environments, there's others with more customization... but this one is probably the last time AC was just practically almost infallible... with the exception of uplay.

If you're a fan of the franchise this is one of the best, and maybe the best. Easy top 3 for me, somewhere with unity and Odyssey.

I really liked this one. It's in the top 3 of AC games. Somewhere with Unity and Brotherhood.

Possibly the best soundtrack or second best, it's story is in the top 3, good customization. There's not much preachy political crap. It takes some risks in the story too. It gives you good reason to care and motive. Arguably one of the most epic and best settings.

Main gripes are the DLC being greasy and low effort. Some of the gameplay feels like a downgrade from the older ones. A few may feel it deviates too far from the original formula, but these problems didn't start with this one.

It's beautiful tho, and really the environment is kinda king in these games... this one is not only really well done, it's also massive and well populated. It's got some kool mechanics unique to it as well. They even gave us the ability to make custom missions, with custom enemies and placements... They really went further with this one than most others.

It may have the best environment, but idk, it may be a little too big. Sometimes they benefit from being more contained, but it is my favorite BIG AC environment.

This game has no right being as good as it is. Honestly, one of the best 2d beat em ups ever. It is easily in the competition for the best or one of the best. It's such a good game for a group or couple to play as well. It's also way bigger than you'd expect. It's actually just surprising how good this game is. There's some RPG mechanics, all kinds of levels, all kinds of characters, and I think it has a great set of moves for one of these. Absolutely underrated.

This is just really well done. It set out to fill a void, it did that well enough while also elevating it. Pretty much giving what people want, and then some. I would love to see this game get another release with a final fantasy sized budget. It really does classic JRPG+Tactics better than anywhere else ever. Even the writing is pretty good.

This is one of maybe 5 games I'd say are either perfect or as close to possible as it. The only thing that held this back is it's derivative nature, it's clearly trying to be some other franchise, but that's just a consequence of them realizing there's a void for retro of this quality. It's not just some cookie cutter JRPG thing. This has some deep and unique systems that can be explored for a long time.

It's got pretty good AI systems that understand these complex abilities and set ups pretty well. Deep mechanics to explore, the ones you expect and some new tricks here and there. It's just perfectly addicting.

This company makes kinda discount games, but really complex, thought out, and well done ones. If they turned this into a mobile game or made a version, I'd be down. If they multiplied the budget and made it a triple a, I'd be down.

Early Access Review
Grind to build, live to grind? Eh.

The building is nice, but there really isn't much else going on for it that is interesting to me. It's high quality, but again, it just doesn't go far enough. If you see it on sale while it's on early access... yeah def pick it up, because they may want more money later on. Other than that, I'd say wait, cause it's really just grind to build.

You have to level up to really enjoy stuff, building/combat, and that's such a grind right now... I don't have time to even cheat.

This is a good one. The only way I think someone wouldn't enjoy this is if they played the later ones first... but the modding community has taken this one in a great direction... that's still playable multiplayer. Either way, it's got the best story out of them all. I'd give it a 10/10, but at least one of the playable characters totally suck. The one with the big robot that is constantly in front of everything you're trying to shoot. I can't really say any of the other games have a playable character I just totally hate. I would say this one, and the pre sequel, are necessary. The others lack story.

The thing that sets this apart tho is Handsome Jack. He's just such a great villain. Really, one of the best ever.

On sale. Other wise stick to whatever other borderlands you love.

This one, it's just got better combat systems than the other bl games. It also has a good random dungeon mode. Melee is the best it's been. Character customization is the best it's been.

It's lacking a lot tho.
It's lacking story, it's just short. It's lacking weapons and items, it just feels like there's less of everything else. It's lacking weapon skins. It's lacking new game plus. It's lacking maps, at least compared to other borderlands games.

It does have probably the best 'outta the box' mod pack for a borderlands game tho. Redux.
On sale, throw that mod on, it still plays with friends. It's pretty good, and actually makes me look forward to 4.
I'm hoping they look at things like the melee in Doom Dark Ages and the combat/enemy effects in Darktide for 4
