Any review posted at the moment is from someone who's only played the game for a few hours (including myself).

So far I can say that I went in with high-ish expectations (after following the huge amount of preview material published over the last couple of months), and the game somehow managed to exceed all of them.

BUT! You need to be ready to cope with, or even embrace, change. This is not Dragon Age: Origins or Baldur's Gate 3. If you can accept this, you're in for a treat.

THIS GAME PUT JUICE ALL OVER MY PC

Absolutely fantastic game. Charming, colorful pixel art, challenging levels, precise controls, and all the difficulty modes to make this game for everyone. A pure joy, can't wait to play this on my OLED Steam Deck :D

Oh man

I had been watching this game for a while, but wanted to wait until it reaches 1.0 before buying. But then I saw the gamers (derogatory) review bombing the latest update for a totally harmless and optional cosmetic shop -- and immediately bought it.

The game is fantastic.

I don't write reviews often. But I will write one here. This game is excellent. The only thing I want to say here is that $4 is way, way, way, way too low with all the cool stuff you're getting and the extremely good production values. This is a $15+ game, easily. Dear Milkstone Studios, raise your price. Please.

The people giving this a bad review and saying that this should be a mobile game have completely lost their grasp on reality and should be banned from posting things on the Internet.

Here is my review: this is a very good game.

Buy this if you like one or more of the following:

- long, boring and unskippable introductory cutscenes
- games with a whole of 8 story missions that aren't bogged down by annoying baggage like a "story"
- having to be online even when playing completely alone
- not being able to pause your game even when playing completely alone
- losing your session's progress when being disconnected from the Internet
- performance issues
- balance issues
- matchmaking issues
- having rabid fanbois insult you for bringing up these issues "because it's a multiplayer shooter!!1!", only to find them whine about the same things in the Steam forums hours later
- paying full price for something that competes in a very busy market filled with great free-to-play titles

Sigh.

Bastard child of "Freelancer" and "Pirates". If this sounds enticing, don't hesitate and get this game.
