Zorbus' sound design & QoL features are unironically GOAT-tier as far as roguelikes go.
Gem of a game overall.

Got some bops and I like the way it plays. If you're a fan of action roguelites, this is your bread and butter.

Game absolutely consumed me for a few days.

It mashes up a uniquely twisted version of tactical turn-based RPG combat with a compelling roguelike gameloop in the most effective way I've ever seen it done. Fights feel tense and well-balanced. The aesthetics and music throughout are pitch-perfect. Just love dang near everything about it.

If I had one criticism, it's that the game could stand to have an "even harder" mode. With around a dozen runs, and only a single full party wipe during all those playthroughs, it started to feel like I'd "solved" a lot of the encounters around 10-15 hours in, even through to the true final bosses. Having something a little extra to punish scrubs like me who think they're getting good at the game would be deeply pleasing to my inner masochist.

Seriously though, hats off to the devs. I hope Brutal Orchestra gets the attention and praise it deserves.

Some games are okay.

Some games make you stop and reevaluate who you are at the very core of your person, make you feel a depth of emotion that no work of art ever has before, and then leaves you with a genuine sense of loss when its all finally over and gone, because you know you won't ever be able to experience anything that beautiful for the first time ever again.

You should probably play Undertale and find out which one it is.
