Hours of brutal punishment of your hubris and genuine fun and excitement. The world is vast, mysterious and so much fun to explore. One of my favorite games of all times I beleive.

One of the best if not the best VR games on the market if love shoot guns. The amount of detail that is going into the mechanics of the game is outstanding and the support the game gets up to this game is unrivaled.

Firtsly: I did enjoy the game quite a bit. A neat simple story, oustanding visuals, fun mechanics.

And I wish steam had a more granular recommnedation system because I don't want to be completely contrarian in the vast majority of people who love this game with their heart. And I'm glad that they liked this game. It's a good wonderful game.

But the aspect of the game that really got under my skin is how much you have to fight the game mechanics. And while during the normal exploration it doesn't really mess with your experience (although it's still a porblem), during the last boss battle it was extremely annoying. To the point that I stopped feeling bad for the Ori, for the forest or for the bird. I was just frustrated that, for example, double jump could or couldn't work after breaking the weak terrain or how inconsistent the dodge/kick mechanic was. I felt like I wasn't escaping the bird, I was fighting tooth and nail with the underlying mechanics of the game which wasn't fun at all and spoiled the experience quite a bit.

There's nothing even remotly close to the genius of this game

It's hard to recommend this game enough! This is such a well-crafted experience. Amazing gameplay, gripping lore and so much fun for this price.

The only nitpick I have is that the autosave locations are really bad and unreliable, especially in the end of the game.

It was really hard to get around reviewing this game but I really feel it needs to be done. It goes without saying that this game is nothing short of amazing. There's nothing else like this game.

Speaking about more technical elements this game albeit being pretty simplistic is able to communicate its core message flawlessly. Demensa's undoubtfully unique artwork helps communicate so much emotion from being on a peak of calmness to being at the limits of one's despair.

Music is also such a great feature of this game. At moments it's incredibly harsh, loud and breaking. At other moments it's calming. It's hard to put in words how much music in this game is able to communicate. While the game is an emotional rollercoaster already, the music amplifies this even more.

The game itself can be flawed sometimes. At some points I felt lost, unsure where to go or what to do. Sometimes I knew I missed some important things. And unfortunately, I had a couple of crushes (on PC scenes). Still it's nothing critical.

But what matters the most is the story. It's a personal story. It's something so sincere, so in your face and absolutely shameless. And this is great. It's hard to talk about it. It deals with quite complicated topics. It made me cry. There's nothing else even close to this.

The game is absolutely outstanding with its style, storyline and soundtrack. It has such a eerie and mysterious atmosphere no other game has. I wholeheartedly recommend playing it.

Though on the other hand the game is still unfinished and god know when it'll be.
