I was wondering why there were no items in the game to get a faithful periodical look for Mr Holmes, but here we are!

Surprisingly fun 3-person versus AI shooter. I was expecting Aliens: Fireteam Elite to mostly borrow from Left 4 Dead and not contribute much else, but gladly I've been proven long. Much more than I expected, this game is a love letter to its film inspiration. The audiovisuals of the game really evoke a tense atmosphere despite the fact that your big guns are definitely a match for the xenomorphs and other terrors. The game uses darkness, random hissing sounds and amazing set design to really keep you on the edge of your seat.

Character customisation is innovative with an interesting "tetromino" style perk selection system (perks take up space on a grid) accompanied by straighforward weapon levelling, customisation and unlocking. Campaign progression is like L4D but with an added hub area that doesn't overstay its welcome. All in all, a great game and I'm looking forward to checking out the DLC campaign once I finish this.

Elegantly designed game! It takes nice cues from actual chess, like movement patterns and pawns being able to promote, but is obviously a very different games. The trick is mostly to not get blocked in, as you die in one hit. It's a fun challenge although randomness in the cards you get seems to plays a big role in your chances (at least, at first).

Also, if you're playing: you can click the gun to reload it without moving!

One of my favourite VR games so far! It has enough of the tactile feeling that you're actually interacting with the world — axes and shotguns feel like they have physical weight — and the game balances evasion and combat well. The game is split up in days, where you choose a location and are able to loot and explore until night falls and you have to hurry back.

I personally think the sessions are a bit long and irregular; I think it unnecessarily raises the bar for booting the game again. It fits the survival narrative, but it's frustrating to die in the final minute of a 20 min session and basically losing your progress.

But at the end of the game, the timer and other stress-inducing mechanics like weapon durability make it a tense and interesting experience. I hope this game inspires more VR developers to craft a story and progression besides an interesting sandbox.

I really like the idea of Budget Cuts. The locations and characters are also nice, and the oily effects from the robots are visually great. However, I think the game falls flat a little bit on the execution. Primarily the checkpoints are pretty badly implemented, and I found myself accidentally fleeing through a checkpoint numerous times, which meant that I went back into the state where I died two seconds later.

I wish combat was a bit less awkward and just a little more the focus of the game. Evading is interesting, but more than anything I found this to be a waiting game with lots and lots of trial and error. I have the feeling that some of this is addressed in the sequel, so I will still give that a chance if I get around to it.

The game has nice production value and its teleportation mechanic is great, but I just think it falls flat as a stealth game. I would rather recommend something like TWD: Saints & Sinners if you're looking for a tense stealth game where evasion is encouraged over combat.

Very fun take on co-op puzzles! This first one is plagued by some bugs that may impede your progress, but since they give it away for free, I don't mind as much. It's a great intro to a wonderful series of co-op games.

Great successor to Mini Metro. It can get a bit more complex and offers an extended set of tools, which makes it feel like a real step up from Metro. But don't worry, it has the same strange mix of zen and stress, and the challenge always feel fair.

Great looking skins, wish they would have included a firefighter Combat Axe skin!

I'm a bit biased, but this is a fun game if you like one-shot kills and a freer game mode than Verdun!

Besides the incredible soundtrack and atmosphere, The Sexy Brutale combines simple yet fun time-loop puzzles with a surprisingly intriguing story. It plays a little awkward and some of the hints in the dialogue are laughably obvious, but I loved the total picture.

But you should have bought this as soon as you saw the name. It goes without saying.
