This is probably the best game I've ever played.

The rousing story surprised me not only once and the perfectly written characters evoke an empathy in me which made me feel sad, happy and sometimes really angry. This is also underlined by the excellent synchronization.

The graphics in this game look exeedingly realistic what makes it even easier to immerse yourself in the world. I played on a WQHD display and i can tell that it looks exellent.

The thing that I loved the most is the develpment of Amicia's character. The game begins with her being an innocent girl who comes from an royal family which lives in wealth and luxury (considering the year 1349). From one moment to the next she loses everything and finds herself completely on her own fleeing from the inquisition, caring for her little brother, and exploring the origin of the plague.

During the 13 hours of playtime I needed in my initial playthrough i never even felt a glimpse of boredness. On the contrary, I wanted to know how the story continues and couldn't stop playing, which is why i played it in just 2 sessions (5 hours and 8 hours).

On the technical side, the game is very well thought out. It's neither too hard nor too easy and the fact that there're a lot of secret passages and rooms to explore sometimes let's you forget that you're playing a linear storyline based game.
PS: The rat-mechanic works so good and smooth

I'm very glad I bought and played this game before the end of 2019 so I can support the development team by voting it for "Outstanding Story-Rich Game"

Thank you Asobo Studio for creating this piece of art. It once more proves that videogames have the same right to exist as movies and series and deserve much more attention than they currently receive.

One thing is for sure, I will never forget this journey!
