Note: Im playing in VR only

4 hours in and this is one of the best VR games I have ever played in my life.
Of course I had to install a mod as it does not come with VR support but it works perfectly fine!

I dont know if its the VR or the gameplay itself that makes this game so good. Havent tried pancake mode yet and never will because hoooly smokes this is scary, intense and absolutely beautiful in VR.

VR Gameplay: (also compared to regular subnautica)
I have tried both this and regular Subnautica in VR and found it really hard to deceide what I like more.
Ultimately I think I prefer this game as the graphics are more polished, and for some reason the sense of scale and depth is much more on point. This could be due to the fact that many areas of this game are very tight unlike Subnautica 1 where most areas seem to be vast and expansive. The lighting in this game makes you actually feel like you're deep underwater.

Story:
I cant comment much on the story as I am barely progressing with it. I mostly explore and craft awesome new gear. So far I dont care much for it.

Land Gameplay:
Great, I love it. I usually switch from controller to mouse and keyboard on land. Dont know why but I prefer it. As I play seated right infront of my Desk I can seamlessly switch instantly.

Conclusion:
I am absolutely hooked. Havent had this kind of feeling for a game in a long time (last time was maybe minecraft or fallout 4)
When using VR I think this game probably tops the original because of the better ambient lighting, more detailled enviroment etc.
Dont even get me started on how cool the weather is in this game in VR. Something that really makes regular Subnautica seem super dull.
