WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Isaiah 9:6 (written nearly 800 BC) - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Micah 5:2 (written around 700 BC, and predicts his birth in Bethlehem) - But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

God was manifested in the flesh.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

1 John 3:4 - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

From the above verse we can see that all sin is a violation of the law of God.

Romans 3:23-24 - for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

This verse tells us that all have sinned and need the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

1 John 3:5 - And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

The above verse shows that the very object of the coming of Christ was to save.

HOW DOES THIS SACRIFICE SAVE SINNERS?

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Galatians 3:10-13 - For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

These two verses tell us that Jesus Christ, who lived perfectly under the law of God, actually become sin on the cross which also meant that he was cursed.

HOW DO YOU RECEIVE THIS SALVATION?

Eph 2:8-10 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Salvation is not of our works but the gift of God, and we receive this justification (pardon) by grace through faith.

John 6:47 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

The word "hath" is the third-person singular simple present indicative form of have, and this means that those who believe upon Jesus actually have eternal life right now.

Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other saviour.

Act 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

When you repent you have a change of mind, a regret of your sin, a desire to forsake your sin, and a different opinion of Jesus.

Salvation is by grace through faith, and this comes through a faith that repents from sin. Jesus preached repentance and belief for salvation. True saving faith does not come without repentance, and one cannot repent without belief. True faith will result in true repentance, and true repentance involves turning from sin.

Alright mate. Spoke to my pal about those Dota codes you have. He said that they aren't actually worth much since Valve have been giving away so many of them, but he knows a guy who is collecting them (for reasons I have yet to figure out). If you still want to trade them, I'll let you know when you guys are both online.
