PEAK this, PEAK that... I thought this would be a fun little adventure with friends turns out it's not PEAK... it's PAIN.

I am literally fighting the game trying to place these furnishings. Also the character isn't autonomous and doesn't do anything, you just pose them. I want to see him walk over to the computer and start clicking away at the keyboard or write at his desk, not just stay almost stationary where I place him. It looks really good but it's just a finicky fancy timer. A shame because it looked like it had some pretty cool features like uploading your own pictures to put on monitors and such.

It was a fun little journey, although I accidentally beat the game trying to do a side quest before I completed all the others. I kinda wish there was a way to tell which ones progress the story and which ones are just for fun. Aleks Le's voice acting was really good though so it makes up for it.

I quite liked playing their songs in the game. Very underrated band, I hope they get more listeners.

This game has a story so good that even though I got it for free on epic games, I had to go buy it on steam to show my support.

Also, it's a nice touch that it's free there on January 23rd, it's very fitting. If you are seeing this review before January 30th, 2025 go get it for free now!

I sold all my stuff right as the host left, which set my money to zero, including the money I had previously been saving. Not cool. The dev should make it pause the game briefly and switch the host to another player when the original host leaves, instead of kicking every player. You could be in the middle of talking to someone or catching a fish, and it will kick you. That's probably why so many people are hosting lobbies by themselves that don't have anyone in them, because they don't want to deal with getting kicked all the time because people don't play for long due to the bare bones game play.

Edit: turns out the money disappearing was just a visual bug.
