Early Access Review
of course it's functionality is idealized in the trailer, but i still expected it to... feel better. while clashing swords looks amazing in the trailer, actual gameplay is clunky, especially since your arms in game move a lot slower than in real life. i constantly felt like fighting in a dream. it doesn't feel good. in fact, i felt disconnected from my avatar, which is deadly in a vr game. it's an awesome concept, and i'm looking forward to playing games like this a few years down the line. but i think current hardware just can't do this justice.

that being said, i want to end this on a positive note: magic is pretty neat. letting an enemy twitch before you grab and throw them off a bridge is very entertaining indeed. great job on that one, dev :)

@Maaye You know that's complete bullshit, everything is made to have weight to prevent waving your sword around like a madman and landing multiple blows in one second. Everything is slower and more weighted, meaning how fast you swing your arms isn't how fast you swing it in-game as it accounts for the weight of any given weapon. Try using the Dane Axe with one hand and tell me it moves the same speed.

@Luigi, you're absolutely right. Doing things like decapitation/dismemberment is made to look easy in the trailers, in reality that would've been done dozens of times over before they got it right due to the highly specific angles. It seems that the sluggish movement of your weapons is done all in the name of realism, which it fails at because if I swing a broadsword in reality, it's going to be way faster.

What are you even talking about? Every trailer you've seen is actual gameplay, not the games fault you suck at playing it. And your arms move slower then in real life? Its a vr game, how fast you swing your arms is how fast you swing in vr. Amy i missing something or are you just a troll?
