As someone who never touched a Souls or Souls-like who then fell in love with Elden Ring and proceeded to play Bloodborne and DS3, I cannot stress this enough: THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE.

The setting, the mechanics, the music, the quirks, all of it. Truly a masterclass. I would argue this game rivals, maybe even beats, FromSoft's creations. This is a hill I will die on.

As of writing this, I'm at the last chapter with the game on its way to being finished. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, my absolute favourite Souls-like.

All that being said, this game does not ♥♥♥♥ around. At the start, you might find yourself asking, "is this it?". Then at around chapter 4ish, the game does a complete 180 and reminds you that IT is in control. The spikes in difficulty come at the most inopportune times and it forces you to sit forward and stop ape braining your way through it. And I love it. Just when I think I'm getting complacent, the game unzips its trousers and slams its meat across my jaw with the force of a heavyweight punch.

If you haven't played this, change that.

Game's actually quite fun.

Until you need to play alongside apes who've never touched a MOBA in their damn life and you need to fight and claw to survive in midlane against 3 other heroes, one of which being one of your teammates.

They really should make the tutorial mandatory though. And have a tutorial to teach each role.

Played this with a team of 7 with a mod.

Mate ran on a landmine, took 3 of us.

10/10.

This game was my childhood. Being able to play it on PC all these years later is something I'd always hoped for but never expected.

While I understand people may be a bit upset that the port is literally *just* a port (res and frames locked etc), nothing else was ever promised. They informed the HD collection was being brought out for current gen and PC and they done exactly that.

I truly don't give a ♥♥♥♥ if the game is locked to 720p or if the game can't pump out 144 frames or more. It plays EXACTLY as the HD collection did on previous gens and I could not be happier.

I played this title on my PS2 to completion well over 200 times, my old memory card is a shrine to all my save files for this game. I would come home from school, boot it up and lose myself in it every single night. In my opinion, this game is Kojima's magnum opus.

If you've never played this game, I beg of you to change that. It's nothing short of a masterpiece and I would pay full retail price for it time and time again to ensure I never lose it. It's just added more and more hope that MGS Delta will stun me, providing they've truly changed nothing other than seriously updating the game graphically.

Whether your opinion of it will be vastly different from mine or not, I just ask that you at least try it if you have 16 smackers to spare.

Played the demo back in 2020, played the Playtest. I was excited for this game for 3 years.

And it absolutely is EXACTLY how I remembered it; SUPERB.

Seeing this being review bombed all because "no offline mode" is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ absurd. This game is THE. MOST. FUN. my friends and I have had in years.

DO NOT TAKE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AS GOSPEL

Buy the game, try it out. If you like it, excellent! If not, then refund it. Don't just piss all over it because it reminds you that no one wants to play games with you.

After having played a number of hours of this title on PS5 (free game through PS Plus Premium), I had to buy it on PC as well. Absolutely a hidden gem and I'm not usually into games of this nature.

review bombing aside, OW1 was infinitely better and the devs should have just told Activi$ion to suck them
