Honestly more fun than its sequel, a really great pick up and see how far you can get game (until you actually get good at it and then it is a lot of fun.)

First soulslike for me, so was mostly just a hard ARPG. While grindy at points, I really loved this game and hope they make the sequel despite Elden Ring being so much more popular.

More Yakuza
Pretty good.

Quirky murder mystery that ends in... divorce? That was awkward.

Very compelling narrative for what is at its core a beat em up. Its like River City Ransom if it learned from the Yakuza series and then added life sim elements and then used that to disguise a novel story with cultural cues from the developer's background instead of anime tropes you are probably used to.

But I mean really you can just chill out with the friend characters, have a squat, light a cigarette in proper hoodlum fashion, and then flick it and it feels *awesome.*

This is killing my fear of using assembly code. This game is legit.

This game is effin great. Imagine Power Stone taking a few notes from Smash all with a King of the Monsters skin. This is the most fast-paced Kaiju game I've ever seen, and I love every minute of it so far.

This was just sad. Interesting idea and I get why people like, but wow.

NiGHTS into dreams is a decent PC port of a classic Saturn title. Made by Sonic Team was all about making the levels you could speed through quick but have fun with repeated playthroughs. A bit more arcade-y than the famous blue Hedgehog, this is yet another unique idea by Sega that deserved quite a bit more love than it wound up recieving. While Saturn games are becoming increasingly hard to obtain, thanks to Steam it is fairly simple to go back and see what all the fuss is about. If only Sega would do this with more of their titles.

Pros:
* Decent remaster of a reasonably hard to obtain Saturn game.
* The more you play the more fun it is the mess around in the levels.
* Simple oldschool gameplay that is both relaxing and fun, but reasonably challenging to get A ranks.
* Levels are fun to revisit and play around with, incuding the A-Life and high scores.

Cons:
* Extras from Christmas NiGHTS, such as Sonic and Reala not included in the Christmas NiGHTS content. Shame since those are some of the things that made Christmas NiGHTS so cool to begin with.
* 90s level structure means it is a bit short by modern standards.
* While the visuals have gotten a facelift, the camera hasn't.

Gotta gives props to any company that curates their game to the point they add a full expansion pack years after the release just to revitalize it. Doesn't need any graphical upgrade. Just needs to still be awesome.
