It's actually closer to a fighting game because it's more about positioning yourself & observing your opponent's actions, attacking/defending depending on your opponents attitude than it is about passing...

Passing & Shooting like in FIFA actually won't lead you anywhere from what i've seen. You need to "fight" and dribble your way to victory.
