I really enjoyed the first Frostpunk, but this is not an iteration of the first game, its a new game set in the world of Frostpunk. The scale, building blocks and everything really has increased in this game. Completely new game mechanics, its really a new game with a few remands of the original game. I still absolutely loved it.

I sank nearly 100 hours in the game, I feel like I rushed it and still got attached to the story and characters too much.

Absolutely a fab game, sank in 40+ hours only on a single playthrough and definitely got my money's worth. This game was the closest ever to give me the Frostpunk itch.

The game is an improvement in many ways compared to the original, has many nice additions but its a bit lacking for me. The intro is really poor, would even say horrible. Story? Well... nearly non-existent. Performance? Can barely get 60fps with a 3080 Ti and DLSS set on Quality. Gameplay? Seems really good for the little time I have played it. For me its a not a recommend, but try it yourself first.

I have about 6 hours as the time of writing this review and can say the game is good for what it is. Its simple, but not too simple and you can invest as lot of time until you terraform Mars(I presume end game). That being said, often I felt like there is nothing to do, but just wait and do nothing. This could be due to poor planning from my side, but still.

I like

The game runs very well on maxed out settings (3080 TI + 5900X), but cannot say how its for configurations. The story is really good, but what kills it for me sometimes is the dialogue and the weird animations/facial expressions. They just feel fake, like robots instead of people talking. Voice acting is not as good for some characters as well, but usually side ones.

Absolutely by far one of the best games I've played in some time. My first ever Kojima game and I can say this man is a genius. I love how his game took almost every standard in gaming industry out of the window and was willing to try something completely new, make a story where people had to think and not be fed like children the simplest narrative.
