AAI1 has its ups and downs, AAI2 fixes a lot of my problems with the first and is just peak Ace Attorney.

I frame-1 clicked "You're a failure as a person." to Eustace.
Worth it.

The game is amazing.

What's not amazing is SEGA's approach to selling the game. Premium Edition should come with the expansion pass, especially considering how negative the reception is of the bonus content of the premium edition.

But nah, $135 is the way to go, I guess.

I don't personally care about FeMC, so her exclusion isn't a negative in my book.

If you can get this game on sale (the base game) and the expansion pass along with it, it is 100% worth the play.

EDIT: With all of the recent drama with the community manager and the unofficial Godot Discord server, I'm going to say that Godot Engine is still a perfectly fine engine, and whether or not you agree with how the figureheads handled things, remember that they are just figureheads, and that Godot is FOSS with a lot of contributors. It, as well as any forks (regardless of how they came to be) I think should be given a proper chance, as competition is always good for innovation ;)

Now, onto the review:

I've used this engine on and off for the past few years, and it's always come more natural to me than other engines when it came to learning its quirks and its workflow. If you don't mind trying something a little more uncharted and want to get away from paywalls, this is a great option for all kinds of development. Especially since nothing is cheaper than free, and this game engine is fully capable of making any game you wish (within reason). Whatever you make is yours and only yours.

Just a recommendation from me, though, try to steer away from tutorials that walk you through making a whole game, and focus more on learning the little things and piecing them together. Learning that way has highlighted Godot's strengths best for me, and also has done me justice in actually learning things.
