Thought it was time to give my review of Kenshi.

I found this game through a friend who also recommended it to me, and despite it being from a genre i initially had no interest in, i did end up putting hundred of hours into it and here is why:

Kenshi is a strategy/RPG/Open world game set in an apocalyptic world. But in reality, you might aswell throw out the strategy part out of this game, this is much more an open world rpg than anything else, the strategy part of this game really just comes down to getting as much people as you can and arming themselves to the teeth so you can throw them at the enemy.

The real reason why this game is so amazing is just how free you are in it, there is no set goal other than what you impose on yourself. You could play as a drug farmer, smuggling hemp inside cities for a big markup, or you could capture people to be sold as slaves (lol). You could play as a pacifist merchant that travels the world, selling your findings to people, or you could build a mega city with hundreds of people in it. Or even play a solo character that makes its living out of breaking out into shops and stealing people pocket.

It is completely up to the player to decide what they want to do with the given freedom. Pair this freedom with an interesting world where every region has completely different threats and unique hazardous environment and you get probably (in my opinion) the most innovative and fun rpg out on steam.
