this game is pretty fun to play with friends, hitboxes are kind of weird and host has a serious advantage and I dont even feel its worth it to block. Beyond that this game is a lot of fun, tons of maps. 100% worth the price and I cant wait to see future updates

Seriously just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skip the story. Just google just cause 3 mods and download the 100% save file because the story is not good. Its repetitive and boring

get the 100% save file and have fun zipping and flying across wherever the ♥♥♥♥ this game takes place because i dont even remember, thats how little of an impact this games setting had on me.

If you like GTA and wish you could tie people up and hang them from a flag pole or drag them along the back of your car, or better yet, drag two cars, no 3 cars, no 3 cars and a plane and create a big fiery mess, get this game

Honestly I've never been too into fighting games of this sort, and for a while I've kind of been mostly turned off because it seems like such a high skill floor to actually get in

But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I feel like this is done right so even absolute noobs to the genre can fit in because they make some aspects kind of baby. Sure you can just button mash if you want, you can also go into practice mode for a bit and learn some of your characters individual move sets.

Also in terms of online, this was something that kind of worried me at first, but its done quite well, the netcode is actually not awful. You can choose what kind of connection you want to have (any, Close, Far, and somewhere in the middle) and in game I feel absolutely no inputs dropping or really any input lag at all, grant I havent played with someone far away

but if you have a crappy connection, fret not because in the practice mode there is a setting to actually add in a bit of input lag so you can practice your combos, not sure if this is new specifically to this game, but its a neat feature regardless.

Honestly I could see myself getting really good at this game and playing it a lot.

It's a souls game. I've beaten 1, 2 and played 3 (not beaten yet), and I know I'll get crucified for saying it, but this is my favorite souls game.

Before I continue, This game is still very hard, but when comparing it to the first and third one it is quite a bit easier. Bosses are way easier (except for DLC, Most fans of the series feel DS2 dlc is some of the best in the whole franchise, SOTFS gives you all DLC) There are maybe like 1 or 2 bosses in the game that are actually problematic. Don't get me wrong, they are still hard, But their AI is pretty manipulatable, where as Ds1 for most bosses have a wider array of movesets so even though their AI is manipulatable, the attack you get is still random.

There are some mechanics that are super baby, like the fact you can light a bonfire while enemies are agro'd on you (You don't need to rest at a bonfire to respawn there when you die, just activate it) which makes for some situations where you don't really need to fight, also makes losing large amounts of souls kind of not a problem.

There are also Mechanics that are Really ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause they are hard, they are just annoying. For instance, when you are hollowed you lose a portion of your max hp. Its not that awful, because "just don't die" mentality, but you can definitely get yourself into some bad spots if you don't have effigies available to you.

Another bad mechanic is the addition of the stat "agility" in this game. In darksouls, if you roll at the right time you have Invincibility frames. This is extremely useful for dodging enemy attacks. In darksouls 2, you have Agility which basically effects your I-frames. In order to level up your Agility to need to put points into Adaptability, usually around adapt 15-20 you are back to normal, but it just seems like a super dumb addition,


The game itself is actually a pretty large open world experience, there is a teleport function built into the bonfires that you start out with (contrary to Ds1 where you don't get it until the middle of the game) which helps immensely, however that, plus the large amount of bonfires that actually exist (some of them in quite close proximity to eachother) makes the game feel small.

In terms of story, you don't really need to know the story of DS1 to play Ds2. You don't even need to know the story of DS2 to play DS2. I beat DS1 and DS2 and I have absolutely no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue at all about the story. Fans say its amazing, so I'll just use that for reference. The game is story driven, but there are no cutscenes, most story is given to you by NPC's you run into and most of the time you are just spamming the dialogue continue button to progress so you can have the NPC appear in Majula and sell you stuff.


Multiplayer is alive and well in this game too, and for people who are new to the series, you may find yourself using it a bit. In the souls games there is an item called "white soap stone" which allows you to put a summoning sign on the ground for basically anyone who isn't hollowed to see. They can summon you to their world to help complete an area and boss, and you can summon them as well. DS2 actually has a ring that allows you to summon people who allign themselves with the same god as you much easier, this can be obtained super early (Before you go to heides tower or Forest of giants, the starting areas) so you can actually play the game multiplayer throughout its entirety with a friend, the netcode is actually really good and I hardly ran into latency issues on either sides when I did this with a friend.

There is also PVP, which is a more annoying part of darksouls for some. Basically Evil spirits can invade your world (some are NPC's that ALWAYS appear when you walk in a certain spot on your playthroughs, others are actual players) and you basically have to fight. Fortunately the darksouls community is full of Memer's so sometimes these experiences can be pretty funny or fun, I've had people invade in DS1 and give me some really good equipment, you just have to becareful that it isn't hacked equipment cause its usually made super OP and can ruin your experience playing the game.


Now comes the more difficult part of the game. This is an RPG. You level up specific stats with your souls you find from killing enemies. What stats you level depends on what kind of build you are running. These builds can be as easy as a baby dex build where you mainly level Dexterity, Endurance, vigor, to more complicated and harder to play better reward builds where you are a Katana and Ultra Great sword weilding assassin who occassionally uses Pyromancy and Miracles.

In terms of classes, there are Bandit, Cleric, Deprived, Explorer, Knight , Sorcer, Swordsman, Warrior. There is no Class that is really easier than another in this game, Deprived is the hardest because you start off at Soul lvl 1 with 6 in all stats. For the most part the classes in this game are just there to help give you a boost on your build. For instance if you wanted an ultragreat sword weilding build, You'd probably start Knight for the high Vigor and Str it gives.

The game itself you can do whatever you want in terms of builds, its an open book, there are clearly easy choices that beginners should start with because they are less focused on mechanics and more focused on just DPS'ing and staying healthy. for a lot of the more complex builds you are putting yourself at a disadvantage early on because of Point distribution, these builds for some players are much more fun though.

Choosing your main weapon is also another fun part, for the most part there are two weapon classes, There are Dex weapons which consist of Bows, Spears, Katanas, scythes, halberds, and Strength weapons which consists of Crossbows, Straight swords, Great swords, Ultra great swords, Clubs, Great clubs, Axes, and great axes.

All weapons scale differently, And most of your damage comes out of your weapons scaling when you upgrade it. Most weapons scale up to +10 from any blacksmith. Weapon scaling is shown, S, A, B, C, D, S is the best, D is the worst, and if there is nothing there the scaling is not good at all.


You can have an element infused into them, Raw, mundane, poison, magic, bleed, dark, lightning, fire by a specific blacksmith you find in the game. Most of the infusions are obvious, they reduce a bit of the physical damage but add on the element that you added, however I will explain 2 that aren't too obvious

Raw: Basically it cuts down on your weapon scaling damage a bit, but increases the overall damage of the weapon. This can have adverse effects for some weapons that have good scaling already, but if you use this on a weapon with not soo great scaling it can make it stronger

Mundane: Mundane is actually one of the coolest enchantments in the game. To the blind eye, this is the least useful, but its actually incredibly useful for weapons that dont scale well and for players who are doing a balanced run where they level each stat equally. Basically it makes the weapon very weak to start, but you do extra damage based off of your lowest stat. So if all your levels are equal your ladle will be doing as much damage as your Ultra greatsword

All weapons have specific move sets, and basically the way you decide which type of weapon/weapon you start with is just finding which moveset you feel the best with.

There are also Boss weapons you can get by exchanging the souls of the boss you killed with certain NPC's in game. There are two of them that do it and both exchange the same soul for different things so keep an eye out for both of them, they are hidden. They scale differently and only go up to +5, so think before using boss souls.

All the souls games are incredibly deep RPGs and complicated. Don't be intimidated, this is one of the easier ones, I highly recommend this game as it's my favorite Souls game

I can not recommend this game. There is a gamebreaking bug that makes it so you can not join games if you have a name someone else has. This has been around for years and has not been fixxed. Sure there are personal fixes (just changing your name) but I can not support a game where the developer does not take time to fix even the simplest of bugs such as that one.

The first thing you need to know coming into this game, is that its not easy

this isn't a traditional modern day video game where you can set the difficulty to ultra low and kind of just walk around and kill flowers or run past an enemy.

This game in terms of skill is similar to dark souls. You're going to die alot. You're going to be sitting in the same room for half an hour sometimes trying to think of the best strategy to defeat these enemies are. You're going to rage a bit about how you dislike that your mouse controls where you dash to instead of the wasd key,

This is when the game starts getting fun

You're going to eventually get used to it. IT takes time, theres a curve,

You're going to finally get to beat that room you are in and checkpoint, then run into your next puzzle. ITs going to feel great, and give you the drive to continue, then you will get frustrated again.


ITs the type of game. IF you don't like very challenging games where you die and start over from the checkpoint like dark souls, don't play this game.

I've tried playing this game atleast 5 times and each time it puts me in a really long login queue

and normally that wouldn't be bad I'm patient and can wait but the trove client leaks memory sooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, theres no reason this game should be taking up 2.000.000kb of memory.

its a shame the concept seems cool and I'd love to play it but there are a lot of bugs they need to work out with the client and they need to fix their servers.

The first thing I want to say, this isn't a minecraft clone, I wouldn't compare this to minecraft at all, this is its own game. I'm not saying everything in the game is innovative, or original, but I did not feel like I was playing minecraft at all while in this game. Minecraft is very much a survival game. This is not at all a survival game, however Minecraft is.

to start my review, this game isn't perfect. Its not fantastic, however It's not bad. Its okay. Don't let the over whelming positive reviews immediately sway your decision.

There is no tutorial system. There are little tips that kind of tell you how to operate things (how to walk, turn your camera, control your vehicle) but there is really nothing explaining switching between your tools, different menus, and honestly what you're supposed to be doing.


The game is honestly kind of complex. Thats not necessarily bad, its just more reason to add a little tutorial. To add on to this point, but there is a lot of Lego products that are directed towards kids, which, to me, means that there are going to be a lot of kids buying the game. Not necessarily going to be the easiest thing for them to jump into.


Honestly the biggest thing for me is that there is no clear goal at the start, and like I said, this isn't minecraft, sure there is no actual objectives, but there is a goal. and it is to go around and find everything, find new people, buildings, treasures, etc.

On to controls, the controls aren't bad. Camera movement isn't that fantastic, its actually quite slow. Honestly the game right now can definitely be played with keyboard and mouse, but in the future i would very much like it if the developers made it so you can play with only the keyboard. Its about 3/4 of the way there at the moment to full keyboard functionality. You can't freely control the camera with your keyboard (but you should be able to with analog keys) and you can't control the tool bars (which you should be able to with the tab key and the 1-4 keys)

Building isn't exactly fluent, its hard to work with, building should feel very intuitive. Its not. Feels quite clunky, and a lot of it has to deal with the camera not being super good.

For performance, as most early access games aren't, its not entirely optimized graphically however its playable even with some low profile builds.


The game has tons of potential. They should definitely add multiplayer functionality to it in the future, as well as mod support so we could add our own content to the game. The biggest thing about this game,

Things I'd like to see

-First person mode,

-Multiplayer (in multiplayer I'd like to see custom game modes, a lot of them, different ones)

-Maps (something a lot of these open world games lack are maps, not full huge maps, just a minimap. this way you can explore the world and be able to find your way back after)

-mods with workshop support (this game honestly can be so much with mods, and having them available in the workshop would just be so convenient)


the game has a lot of work, as I said above, tons of potential, I would recommend getting this, Can't wait to see how much the game evolves in the upcoming months. Keep in mind this isn't made by an indie developer, WB, Lego, all large main stream companies that are with this game. If you are afraid of this game dying, I wouldn't be.

This game is fantastic. I never played it during previous updates, I saw it reasonably priced on ♥♥♥ and picked it up.


The basics of the game are similar to that of terraria. You build a home, mine, defeat enemies, search for treasure in pursuit of gear more suitable for future bosses.

now what you may be thinking
"wow why should i spend 15$ on this when i can just buy terraria, a finished game and sounds exactly the same"

The BASICS of the game are similar, but there Is so much more,

Classes: Apon starting the game you are allowed to choose 1 of 7 classes. The class will determine which planet you start on, and your ship type

Your ship: To start, your ship is where you start the game. You're given multiple quests to help restore it, To the less experienced, this will take you through the start of the game and teach you the main aspects of survival.

Quests: Tons of quests were added, they add purpose to the game, Instead of walking around wondering "hm what should i do next" and getting bored because you find there is nothing, you can look in your quest log or go to the outpost (an area of starbound where tons of npc gather) Don't feel too restricted, early on you may feel a bit restricted as you need to complete a few quests before you can explore the other stars in space, but there is still tons to complete before then

A giant universe to explore: after getting your ship complete, you can leave the star you were currently set in and can go to tons of other stars. different stars have different properties, and different properties dictate the difficulty of survival on the planets inside the star. For instance in one star you may find a planet that is peaceful with citizens (yes planets do have npcs on them, some of the ones more suitable for life, some hostile others are there to help) but on another you may find an enviornment that is so hot that you can't stay for very long without the proper equipment. with thousands of different stars to explore, each planet holds different types of equipment that may help you progress further in, as well as different minerals you need to create better armour

A giant arsenal of equipment: There are tons of different types of weapons, Lazers, pistols, rocketlaunchers, flamethrowers, you name it, its probably in the game, and with more weapons being added in future updates, you can truly have the endless arsenal.

Worried about ammo? No need, ammo is not a thing. This may turn a lot of players off (AHH! THE REALISM IS FADING) but there is an alternative. You have an energy bar. Guns and bows use a certain amount of energy to use, some use more than others. The energy bar slowly regenerates after breif downtime.
